Top 10 WORST Ranked Beatmaps in osu!mania

Looking at the lowest user rated ranked beatmaps in osu!mania. I made a few obvious exclusions in this video so it would be more interesting of what kinds of maps people tend to dislike. We can really use this as an opportunity to learn and grow in our mapping and playing abilities!!

lemonguy is like the only mapper i look up when I look for something "fun and challenging" to play. it feels like 99% of maps are just : "Here is a new map using the style of gameplay that is generally accepted within the community. todays map is : jumpstream, and yes this will be 5 minutes of basically the same pattern. hope you enjoy boringness". (and when a map is actually that sort of whacky style, its like 3 stars 90% of the time). lemonguy inspired me to start mapping and while im not that well known mapper, i ranked a good amount of quaver maps. whenever my name is mentioned by players or mappers, its litterally either : amazing, unique difficult map, or : worst map ever, unnecessarely difficult/complicated, who the fuck thought it would be acceptable to rank this. (in fact my maps have been approved and then denied later on due to differing opinions by rankers lol). im not active in the community otherwise at all, but its interesting to see how a good chunk of quaver players and mappers know my name, not because ive made tons of maps (maybe like 7) or am active in the community, but simply because of how polarising my mapping style is. lemonguy will forever be the goat of hard and unique maps imo

08:14 i think one of the main reasons why this map is so hated is cus of there being a lot of weird anchors and awkward feeling patterns. They are supposed to be awkward and techy. I dont wanna skillissue call anyone but i think this map is very hard if you are not used to weird snappy anchors which only appear at a very late highlevel stage of the game a lot of (newer players) or players which are not able to understand these patterns yet seem to instantly hate on it which is a sad sight

yeah it should definitely be given more importance in the game. or even just simplified to a thumbs up thumbs down button

@@KcHecKaMaybe they could also fix the way it's presented, I mean the indication of clicking those stsrs is so confusing. Especially since in most skins there're no transparent parts so you have to trust audio cues and your clicking precision to rate it the rating you want it to.

i think people just hate dump maps because its a very weird skillset that is not really reflected anywhere else in osu mania ranked so the smaller tastes of it that you get are very difficult and uncomfortable. I would also like to see more ska maps ranked too because they have a huge backlog of amazing maps on etterna (mostly dumpstream) that i would love to see at least loved

yeah, high star diffs map is normal for having those pattern, it deserves good rating, im myself pretty enjoying the map, its just skill issues ppl rated low out there.

The thumbnail has a topic I would be interested in that is AI Generated maps because that popped up watching someone play another VSRG (Can't remember if it was Clone Hero, Rock Band 3 or Guitar Hero 3) on a stream and the general consensus from there is Tempo Mapping is okay but don't let it place the notes
