2011 Packers were the best. I always say they’re the best single season passing offense ever. Jordy broke out in 2011 for more than 1200 yards and 15 TDs in only 9 starts. The Rodgers to Nelson combo was so deadly and this was the first real showing of the duo. Jennings had almost a 1000 yard season but he only started 13 games. He also got 9 TDs. Jermicheal Finley had his best year getting over 700 yards and 8 TDs. He would have been even better had it not been for his career ending injury in 13. James Jones had another solid year with over 600 yards and 7 TDs. He always seemed to somehow find his way open. Donald Driver was definitely getting up there but the reliable veteran still managed to pull in 6 TDs for just under 500 yards. Add a rookie Randall Cobb who was dangerous in the return game, and you have an absolutely dominant offense. 3 is good but they should be 2 or 1 especially when they literally beat the #2 team in the Super Bowl the year before.

Tony Preston it’s so disappointing that they didn’t win another ring in 11. They messed up resting starters and didn’t play well for that 1st quarter and a half. And by the time they woke up, their crap pass defense couldn’t stop anyone. It’s a real shame. That loss of Nick Collins really screwed that team. He was the defensive MVP of that team. He was the keystone. Once he was gone, the middle of the field was easy pickings. Sure they had good corner depth with Sam Shields, Tramon Williams and Charles Woodson, but without Collins, there was nobody competent enough in the middle of the field. It’s a real shame. Two HOF receivers plus Stokes who had his best year. Overall my top 3 if we're just talking receivers (no tight ends) would be 1999 Rams, 1998 Vikings, and 2004 Colts. I'm guessing if tight ends weren't excluded here we would have gotten of one of the Air Coryell Chargers squads from the early 80's. BTW, a good trio that could have made your honorable mention might have been one of the Houston Oilers teams of the early 90's. Ernest Givens, Haywood Jeffires, and Drew Hill would up some great numbers as a trio. Anyway, keep up the good work.

Wooooahhhh. How did the Cardinals of 08 only make honorable mention??? They had THREE 1,000 yard receivers! I know Steve Breaston isn’t elite, but when all 3 WRs have 1,000 yards for the 3rd time ever, and you highlight the first team who did it and they didn’t even have a sinlge WR as good as Fitz, I think that’s a huge error! My mind blew when he got to the graphic of Steve and didn’t say “they ALsO had this dude catch 77 balls for 1,006 yards and 3 more consecutive seasons of 700+ yards.” Idk. It’s a stacked list. But that’s weird. Especially when the top 2 are freaking fitz and quan who had something like 17 1,000 yard seasons combined lol. BUT I get it. I do now that I’ve thought about it. It’s just an impossible list. Glad they got an honorable mention. I don’t think I’d ever mind that they got left off if Steve B at least got a mention for having 1,000 yards. It seems as if in this video, the author rewarded the resume of whoever the 3rd receiver was more than he rewarded the statistics they produced during the one season he chooses to focus on. I respect that, but personally since it’s specifically focusing on the best WRs cores for a single season, I think it would make sense to focus on what they actually did that year. ( for example, Jake Reed having 490 yards as the 3rd WR next to moss and Carter, even though he did have 4 straight 1,000 yard seasons coming in. And I know he got injured. But still, he simply wasn’t as good or productive THAT season as some other 3rd receivers who were left off the list. But I knew Carter and moss had to be on here) + oh gosh I just just editing lol. But I realized that the 07 Pats actually had some really solid production next to Moss and Welker! They should have made it! Donte Stallworth had a solid career, and namely in 07 he had 46 catches for 697 yards as the 3rd guy. And even Gaffney had almost 500 yards on 36 catches and 6 TDs! As the 4th guy! Ok honestly what the heck lol. You have 23 TD moss. First season of literally LeAGUe changing Welker, going from a gadget guy in Miami to like 110 for 1150 yards, and then a 700 yard guy and a 500 yard guy!?! Come on y’all!?! When you have one of the best QB seasons of all time and they have 4,800 yards and their WRs catch 3,700 of those yards!? WRs are top 4 , no RBs or TEs? Come on!!!

Manning, Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne were the greatest I thought. Kurt Warner, Torry Holt and Issac Bruce aka greatest show on turf were dynamic also

Brooo Ikr! People always forget about roddy white. Ridley still got a big career ahead of him, but julio is definitely up there.

Exactly. They got glossed over, but Stallworth and Gaffney were excellent number 3 and 4 WR's.

The #1 receiving unit of all time just won the superbowl. Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Antonio Brown, Rob Gronkowski, Leonard Fournette. They fielded a freaking pro bowl team with the greatest QB of all time. I don't understand how Mahomes ever had a chance...

Add Jake Reed to Chris Carter and Randy Moss and they could get a spot onbthis lists in 6: under the run heavy Patriot scheme both Stanley Morgan and Harold Jackson average over 20 yds/ per rec

I'm conflicted being part of RAIDER NATION putting Rice and Brown at the top of my list seems like a no brainer however if I can only chose one pair give me Bruce, Holt Hakeem, Proehl and technically Fualk was a running back but had over 1000 yards receiving but in 2001 everyone knew by week 8 the Saint Louis Rams were the team to beat

I know this is a WR group video, but many of these teams also had stud TE’s. Pretty crazy.

Another honorable mention should've been the 2009 New Orleans Saints. They made big play after big play. It was fun watching them.

No one's had a better 6 game start than Kurt Warner in 2000, before injury he was on pace for 6000 yards - he doesn't break his hand he has the best year of all time.

Super Bowl 45 probably has the deepest WR core ever. AB, Emmanuel Sanders, Hines Ward, Randal El, Greg Jennings, Jordy Nelson, Donald Driver, James Jones. One of the most underrated Super Bowl EVER!

I think that I'd have to add the Chargers core of Charlie Joiner, Wes Chandler, John Jefferson and Kellen Winslow at TE, with Dan Fouts throwing the ball, in the late 70's, early 80's. They didn't win a superbowl, but they were fun to watch.

Randy Moss is arguably the greatest receiver of all time. Chris Carter is a top 10 receiver all time!! Thats 2 of the greatest receivers ever. That trio should be number one!
@kevinriddell41074 жыл бұрын
2010 Steelers is such a stretch. Sanders and brown were rookies and combined for about 550 yards. Randle El was never a game changing receiver and only had 250 yards in 2010. And Ward wasn’t bad but was on the decline
@kierancostello21054 жыл бұрын
Absolutely crazy that the '12 Falcons aren't on here - you have to consider Tony Gonzalez in all this.
@posttraumafish57842 жыл бұрын
That’s right, that’s when they had roddy white still doing his thing and young julio paired up with gonzalez. Julio and white both had 1,000 yard seasons and Tony was close to 1,000. Harry Douglas was a backup which he wasn’t terrible either but I’d say they should’ve made top ten easily

The 1995 falcons had 3 recievers go over 1,000 yards. Eric Metcalf caught 104 passes, and 8 tds, while terrance mathis and bert emanuel had 1039 yards each, and 14 combined scores for both of them

Eric Metcalf one of the most underrated multi purpose players of all time. He was insane in Cleveland he was doing what Devin Hester did just a better receiver & played R.B

1980 Chargers had the first trio of 1000 yd receivers when football rules were a lot tougher on receivers. J.J. Jefferson had 82 catches for 1340 yds 13 tds, Charlie Joiner 71 catches for 1132 yds 10 touchdowns tds , Kellen Winslow, a tight end had 89 catches for 1290 yds 9 tds so how are they not mentioned in this conversation??!!
