I agree, you gotta have the 82 Oklahoma game in there, it really brought WVU football national exposure and started the success they have had for the last couple decades. I was at that Boston College game and sat in the end zone...I actually caught a pass from Doug Flutie when he threw it out of the back of the end zone.

My best friend is a WVU alumnus and I think you got a great list, but he loves to jab me about the 1988 Penn State/WVU game when the Eers got up 41-7 on my boys also got to say WVU/Oklahoma has to be on there

There were no road games on this list. I certainly would rate Boston College in 1993 in the Top Ten. The win at Virginia Tech in 2002 was bigger than the win at home in 2003.

I think the only one I may add was 9-11-82 WVU at Oklahoma in season opener after coming off the bowl game win against Florida the end of the year

1993 Thanksgving game on the road vs Boston College was a great win too (I'm biased). WVU had just beaten Miami and then Temple to be 10-0. Undeafeted season on the line. Boston College had just beaten then #1 Notre Dame on the road. Had 4 or 5 sacks that game too with their first rounder DE Mike Mamula. Boston College played their DEs very wide that game and took away WVU signature play action pass game and were up on WVU 14-3 in the 4th quarter. In the bitter cold, down 9, WVU dug deep and scored twice in the 4th quarter to win the game 17-14 and finish the season 11-0 and a chance to play for the national championship that year. Capped off only the 2nd and the last undefeated WVU regular season (88 and 93).

I like those choices, but you left out the 2 greatest victories ever! Pitt in 76 (Mckenzie field goal) and Oklahoma in 82. They hadn't lost an opening game in 20 years.

This list is a bit stronger. I'd put the top 3 in a different order, Orange, Fiesta, then Sugar Bowl, 3-2-1.

Penn St 17-14 was a fantastic game. I was there.

HEY ..i dont miss playing virginia tech in football every year because that was a automatic loss for wvu 8 out of 10 times, hey i know what i"m talkig about because i have been watching wvu football on television since 1922 ..lol

everybody agrees and when i first started watching the vid i thought the 1982 big win over oklahoma had to be in the top 5 but i was shocked when it wasen"t. i thought c"mon the 83" 84" wins over pitt and penn st were good but no where near as big as the 1982 blowout over top ranked oklahoma. WVU#1

He's a great QB when the defense is making stops when they need too. Watch West Virginia tomorrow.. you'll see a big home win against K-state.

I hate how wvu beat texas, almost beat Oklahoma, but yet they lost to ok state, Texas tech, and tcu. Those teams aren't even better then the teams in the big east.
