People shouldn't hate on the MLS. It is barely starting out and many young athletes go on to play in different sports. The talent in the U.S is there and once soccer becomes more popular in the states there is no doubt that the MLS will be one of the biggest leagues. An example of the athleticism in the U.S can be seen in the Olympic Games, when the U.S almost always wins the most medals.

The majority of Friedel's Premier League career was at Blackburn, yet you refused to even mention the name Blackburn when discussing him, despite mentioning Villa and Spurs. You even said he scored against Charlton, but not that the goal he scored was for Blackburn. And Blackburn were the only English club he won a major trophy with (the League Cup). The same goes for Jermaine Jones, you said he played with distinction in England rather than just at Blackburn, even though Blackburn was the only club in England he played for. What is your problem with my club? It's not like the name should not be spoken like Voldemort or something.

So this channel started posting videos about 2 years ago. And only in the past 2 WEEKS or so they decided to turn their attention towards and share with their viewers a league/country that isn't within the spotlight of world football. And what do their efforts result in? Nothing but mountains of complaints of droves of haters. Goodness gracious, why not just take the videos as an opportunity to learn even just the slightest of something about a league/country you're not familiar with. If it bothers you that much don't even watch the video in the first place. What a concept. Yeah sure these guys are all based in London but football is played outside of Europe as well. And the last time I checked, this was a channel about football. The game, the community, the passion, etc. etc. All the things that are associated with this sport that we love. And guess what, these things exist outside of Europe as well even in America! Do the levels rival those of Europe? Of course not. But Copa90 felt that it was a prime opportunity to turn the spotlight towards America and the game within these borders if just for a brief moment. I think it's safe to assume that eventually the content will return to a more Euro centric focus wouldn't you agree? So to all you guys getting wound up over absolutely nothing, get over yourselves and realize that not everything centers around your particular tastes.

MLS will never improve until the players/coaches change their style of play. You can see it with jurgen klinnsman, the national team plays WAY differently than an MLS team. why is there no love for us americans we play great soccer ( we just beat two of the best teams around; germany and the netherlands) so what the MLS is bad or a legends league, there is always going to be an american national team with underrated players. We are growing and power houses like england need to stop being stubborn and learn to play modern soccer opposed to their current crap play. so hate all you want but when the americans steam roll over "good teams" and win a major title don't be shocked. AND YEAH I SAID SOCCER DEAL WITH IT. it might be football to you ;but not me it will always be soccer. The USA stations some of their military in Germany so if they grew up on those bases and stayed for I think four years they can qualify for the German national team and that's also why they end up at the German clubs.
@noonenoon961510 жыл бұрын
Tino Ramstedt Tino is correct about the bases, but just to clarify it's not necessarily growing up on the base that gives them eligibility, it's because these players have an American parent. So the bases are the main cause there are so many Americans, but it's not necessarily the bases themselves.

I don't think a lot of you people understand that MLS teams aren't clubs, they're businesses. Money doesn't flow in from billionaires like the BPL, La Liga, etc;, but it's a salary cap, which essentially means that every team gets the same amount of money to spend to lure players to teams per year. Therefore, guys like Gerrard and Villa don't do it for the money. American soccer is growing, but it will hit a plateau, because there just simply isn't enough competitiveness. The CONCACAF Champions League, to me, is a joke, and is just unwatchable compared to the UEFA one. There's no promotion and relegation (which would be nearly impossible in the MLS's current format) so no casual fan really cares about the bottom teams. Its just simply lacking compared to Europe's leagues.

First of all, Everton is a really good club, might not be a top top club, but they're way above average. Secondly, about the MLS, the thing is that it's getting a lot better, especially now that older European football stars are starting to move there younger, like Kaka and David Villa.

***** Kaka and Villa isn't really that young, just looking for ways to get more playing time and end their career in a nice setting. But I'm glad Europeans are moving to MLS to teach younger Americans about football.

Villa is just 32, younger than Totti, Drogba, Gerrard, Zlatan, Pirlo, and so on. He could have had at least two more good seasons with Atlético in my opinion.

Sure Landon Donovan is an MLS and USMNT legend, but he did squat in Europe. He shouldn't be on this list, and Brad Guzan should be here instead.

Friedel wasn't exactly an amazing keeper, all you listed here is that he played a lot of games.. Dempsey should definitely be first.

I have a feeling you didn't see a lot of Brad's matches with Rovers. There was one against Arsenal at HIghbury, for example, where the commentators wondered aloud where the phone both that Friedel changed into SuperBrad was as he stopped everything thrown at him.. "Brad would'a saved it" became part of everyday speech! Kasey, Brad, Tim and the new Brad are all top keepers but as someone who has been following US Soccer closely since the mid 60s, I have no problem with putting Friedel at the top, for now. I have a feeling the young keepers at DC and Chicago might be in England soon also.

Instead of brad friedel I would put Deandre Yedlin as 10 and everyone up 1

I was about to ask about Jozy Altidore, but then I looked at his stats apart from his time at AZ... 4 total goals in 5 seasons... that is the definition of shit
@anthonylong90679 жыл бұрын
Uh...he had about 30 with AZ. The stats you're looking at are probably from his time at Sunderland.
