Mr. Crow it is July 1st and tonight I played Pinball Champ 2018 all evening and ended up with 1/2 billion pts. and the #1 score on 3 ball Arcade on the Switch. I have always felt with dedication and raw determination I can climb to the top of any ZZZ leaderboard vs. Pinball FX3 where my highest ever is around #20. Also would like to thank your wife for voicing Wood's Queen 2019- that table would absolutely be in my top ten and I own/have played every remake.

My favorite remake table is Devil Riders. It reminds me of Circus Circus Casino Hotel Las Vegas. I really like the ramp design.

I've been following you for a while and find your explanations at the different tables interesting every time. You also made me more interested in the Zaccaria tables. Before that it was mainly Zen pinball and Williams (also from Zen). I wonder if Visual pinball X can also be installed properly on the computer, or on the Sharpin and the Atgames legend pinball. If that's possible, you'll have another 350 tables to draw your attention to.

i like the remake tables the most cause of the kick-backs and layouts. but honestly i own the arcade, fx3 and of course zaccaria and must say that shaking the table does only affect the ball in pinball arcade to me. youre able to actually save a ball from death by nudging :)

@@CrowContinuum agree. ive seen some crazy ballsaving stuff on real life tables. theyre gonna need a lot of space around the table to do this :)

Great video thanks. Some fun tables here. It's all subjective but i find the music, sound effects and voice-overs can be a bit hit & miss on these and it can lessen my enjoyment of some otherwise fine tables. Would be good if they could remake some of the weaker remakes :-)

The big problem with all these remakes and deluxe tables is the inexperience of the designers. It's so apparent with stuff like the kickback shooting into the other kickback and some of the nonsensical design choices. They are clearly designed by video game designers and not pinball designers. Every table in Zaccaria based on a real table is more solid, and so is every Gottlieb, Stern, Bally or Williams table ever made. Just much more attention paid on real tables to the flow and game design. That said, I enjoy them anyway. I just wish they'd tune them up some.

Crow, All great tables for sure! I was surprised when I first played the Earth Wind Fire remake at how great the music was! It has to be my second favorite original pinball music next to Black Knight 2000. But here's the big question... Would this Top 10 list be the same if these tables were played on an AtGames Legends Pinball machine? I found some tables play better (or worse) when played on different platforms. For instance, I really didn't like the original Black Belt on the PC, but absolutely love it on the AtGames Legends Pinball. Something to ponder :) vgv

Crow, You may be as surprised as I was playing them now on the AtGames Legends Pinball :) But as Billy Joel once said... "You may be right, I may be crazy." :) Have a great one! vgv

After years playing the real Zaccaria tables, I only recently got to buying the remakes, and one thing is starting to *really* tickle my brain with these... Can we objectively say the Magic Pixel tables are better than the original Zaccaria ones ? (I include the deluxe tables in that statement.) I mean, they're just *so* good, even weird ones like the Locomotion remake with its "train station" design have some sort of weird "this makes sense" feeling to them. Shooting the Rapids 2016 might be my favorite of the whole game, and it's not even the better one (I'd rank Star God 2019 or Robot Deluxe much much higher) ! I love the Zaccaria tables, they're super fun, very old school and with a B-movie artsyle that I find endlessly enjoyable, and on the total opposite of that, I don't really like the 90s pinball machines with all the ramps and the toys and the modes and all that, tables like Cirqus Voltaire, Black Rose or White Water downright *scare* me, I prefer 70s and 80s designs, things like Fast Draw, Mata Hari, Fathom, Meteor, Eight Ball Deluxe, Sorcerer.... But Magic Pixel's remakes and deluxes, man, I *love* these. Seriously, I went into Zaccaria Pinball for the "old school real-life pinball" feel, and I end up prefering the 90s/2000s-styled remasters by a bunch of video game makers... This *fascinates* me.

@@CrowContinuum Aha! Well, maybe that's just because of how unused I am of playing this kind of tables, too... Y'know, the novelty effect :p That's a question I actually was asking myself before posting. Do I love the remake tables so much because of how "good" they are or because of how "new" they feel to me? I was citing Locomotion as the most extreme example, but in general, the one thing I really like about these is how "tame" they are compared to some of the real tables of the 90s. When I look at Spooky, Fire Mountain or Shooting the Rapids, they feel more like "80s designs with a few ramps on top" than anything in the vein of The Shadow, Funhouse or Wipe Out. The layouts remind my of the Bally tables of the time, like Fathom, Centaur, Kings of Steel or Black Pyramid (and the obvious Williams' Black Knight one), just with added DMDs, modes and ramp combos. I don't feel overwhelmed like I am with actual 90s tables (then again, as I've said, my knowledge of 90s pinball is fairly limited, and I'm no doubt missing a few real jems overshadowed by all the toy-laden classics - and I do admit I enjoy the "sharpshooter" gameplay of Medieval Madness very much :p ). Of course, that feeling goes completely out of the window with the deluxe tables, these are the ones that puzzle me the most, they really are overwhelming with all the things I dislike from the 90s (even going *way* farther than the current Stern has ever gone, and these guys aren't shy of their gimmicks!), but I guess that's precisely because of how bonkers and "realistic yet completely unreal" they feel that I enjoy them. Magic Pixel confidently treaded into videopinball territory with those, and it's very refreshing.

Your words reflect the same way how I feel about the Zaccaria tables/physics. They remind me a lot of the way how I used to play and enjoy pinball in real life, 25-30 years ago. A few months ago I bought a couple of tables, but soon ended in buying the Platinum Pack, simply because I had so much old-fashioned fun with these tables. Add to that the superb music on a lot of these tables, the very cool looks/atmosphere, and man, each day I have a perfect half an hour (or longer) playing highly enjoyable pinball !
