For today's generation, let me be the first to point out in comment section that while yes... Zama was clearly inspired by JHUD this version of the song actually goes to Aretha Franklin. Most people are familiar with the original song and key from the most popular version by Sam Cooke. But this gem, beautiful chord arrangement deserves credit where credit is due and to none other than the Queen of soul Aretha. Celine Dion also sang this song in the style of Aretha at the tribute show for the Queen of soul. And while I prefer JHUDs version, Celine served the song justice and the audience seemed to love it as well. Having said that, it should come as no surprise that JHUD borrowed from the late icon who glowingly approved the multitalented star to play the lead in her biopic before she passed away. Just keep in mind, every generation has someone artist admire and it's perfect fine to imitate. After all, imitation is just a form of flattery. Every artist has someone they borrowed from. For JHUD it is Whitney, Stevie Wonder and Aretha. For Whitney it was mostly gospel artists like Tremaine Jackson who were popular in the 60s and 70s (without Tremaine some of those runs Whitney borrowed might not exist in her songs ... you definitely can hear it. No, she didn't copy Whitney unless she can time travel). But Whitney often credited her mom, gospel singer Cissy Houston who sang backup ironically for Aretha and you can hear hitting that high note in "Ain't No Way". Even Aretha had influence from legendary gospel singer Mahalia Jackson. Good performance overall though by Zama.

Don't know why everybody, always has to compare every Single raw Talent with a other Superstars. We all know that J-HUD is a different Level, but same as everybody else on the Big Stages, even she had to work her way up. So let zama shine and get better, instead of comparing her with Jennifer Hudson And maybe she picked the J-HUD Version, because she loves this one the most.

Sam Cook would be proud of JHUD and Zama. Zama is a star in the making! The male group SOLO also has a beautiful version of this song and each performer puts their own mojo on it. I wouldn't care if Zama copied Jennifer right down to the dress and hair Zama still sounds great.
