Just curious. I'm an army vet, I'm looking into getting into airsoft/milsim. What are the differences if any from the military training exercises im used to, as well how does the player merit hold up.

So airsoft is a very interesting experience, I've done it a few times, but not to the large overnight scales has some of these shows. If you're looking to go down over to a urban/warehouse field the players there may not be as good of a sport. But I'm sure that most will. As for the training exercises, there are a few rules that make it so you can't do some stuff, as you would in combat. But overall it's a very fun and exciting experience.
