I'm a diehard SNL fan. The number #98 guys gotta go. You completely left out anything Martin Short or Billy Crystal did. You also left Ana Gasteyer as Martha Stewart, Amy Poehler as Kaitlin, Will Ferrell & Molly Shannon in Dog Show, and Fred Armisan & Maya Rudolph doing Prince & Beyonce.

What's weird about the "Cowbell Sketch", is that it was considered a "throw away" Sketch at the end of the show. I actually remember seeing it in real time and and I had tears in my eyes, it was so damn funny!

The Colon Blow commercial was a parody of the classic Total ads where they'd stack bowls of a "leading brand" breakfast cereal one on top of the other, and it culminated in a *mountain* of cereal bowls.

So glad Bass-O-Matic & James Brown were in this. I would have loved to see Samurai Hotel Clerk, Andy Kaufman, Land Shark and of the other commercials. Would prefer the list be broken down so we could actually see more of the skit and less narration.

The North Pole Report with Eddie Murphy is so funny especially when Eddie's character keeps interuppting Mikey's reporter to inform everyone about the bear attacks and then he shows them the severed leg.

The Matt Damon/Brett Kavanaugh sketch, David Pumpkins, and Washington's Dream, are iconic. I would include the sketches with: Ben Stiller as Michael Cohen, Chance the Rapper at Halloween, Simu Liu in the Dog Man bit, anything with Matt Schlapp, Adele as the ghost with Chad, the December To Remember Lexus story, Billie Eilish inviting crazy Kate McKinnon for Christmas dinner, and any Mikey Day clip in letters to home.

Enjoyed most of this. I remember how often we would quote SNL in high school in the 70s! Classic moments. Gilda was a gift. How stoned was Pete during the diner lobster skit?😵‍💫 Glad Nate Bergatze made the list. Really hoped Jason Momoa would too. His ‘Elf on the shelf’ was hilarious! I've been watching WatchMojo for well over a decade and this is by far the longest video of theirs on any of their channels I've ever seen! Honorable Mentions: Andy Kaufman: Mighty Mouse I'm not sure if this would have counted, because it's technically a musical guest, but it was from the very first episode, and there was multiple musical guests. They hadn't figured out a style or format yet. It was basically a random variety show at the time, but it worked for that time. Tina Fey eating a cake One of my favourite Weekend Update moments. I hesitate to call it a skit, because it feels like she was legitimately venting. It was both depressing and hilarious at the same time. Dana Carvey's President Bush impression It famously sounded nothing like the president, but we all knew who it was supposed to be. In fact, when people do an impression of Bush Sr., it's Dana's version they're doing. Pete Davidson's Chad character No matter what scenario they put him in, he's just so nonchalant about it. "Okay" Gilda Radner: The Judy Miller Show She was great in pretty much everything she did, but that character really let her show her high energy and I never fail to laugh no matter how many times I see it. Pretty much any skit starring Leslie Jones or Kate McKinnon.

I watched the entire video. Jan Hooks was in one of them. I always found her to be the best and funniest actress on SNL (although there were several others excellent as well). Brenda The Waitress, imo, was the quintessential SNL skit.

You can tell how influential Monty Python's Flying Circus was on early SNL. Irwin Mainway was clearly a different take on Whizzo Chocolate Crunchy Frog sketch.

I think there are 2 misses in this list. The "Pepper Boy" sketch with Sandler and Dana Carvey. Also, "The Hurlihey Boy" with Farley and Sandler where the house-sitting "requests" get truly bizarre. Otherwise a pretty good list.

One of the most fantastic elements of the Saturday Night Live experience are all of the incredibly elaborate sets that included noticeably expensive props and lighting used to help create, to help vividly give, the individual sketches their "Life." It's as if the stage has become its own magnificent, beautifully-adorned "character." As well, all that can be said about the rich staging and props can be said about the costumes each character wears. They are lavish, with the clear sense no expenses are spared in trying to create realism to match the subject, theme, purpose of each sketch.

For the digital shorts, I am more partial to "Jack Sparrow" That just came out of nowhere and Michael Bolton SOLD the joke so much that he would appear alongside the Lonely Island when they did live performances, and he made a ballad piano version that he played on an HBO special he did.

Christopher Walken did a sketch about the census that was hysterical. I laught thinking about it. Also there was one with frat boys asking a genie for lesbian lovers and they got Ana Gadtmayer and Rachel Dratch in flannel pj's - they forgot to say hot lesbian lovers.
