I think Frieren got a perfect anime anime and it's absolutely incredible. It's a slower show and not action heavy but if action is there then it's also incredible. Frieren is one of the most beautiful animated shows last year and I 100% recommend it. If you decide to watch it than you should watch the first 4 episodes at least because they were released at the same time and should be watched together. Frieren is fr a masterpiece and there is a reason why it is at the number 1 spot of my anime list. Hopefully the second season will be as good as the first.

Hey, just wanted to say, what some people do with Oshi No Ko, is watching the OP first (Japanese version, no subtitles, no explanations, no spoilers), then watch the first episode, and then take a look at the English version of the OP after, made and sung by Yoasobi as well. Personally I highly agree with this structure, but it would be entertaining in any way you choose!

I'd love to see a reaction to the one piece openings, as well as the OSTS from One Piece Film: Red, where all the songs were sung by Ado. Also, the openings of One Piece get to be a good deal longer than most openings for anime, which are around 1:30 long. They get to around 2-2.5 min long, bc after the first few openings, they got rid of the ending songs and just had longer openings. However, in the last year or so they brought back endings for One Piece, and honestly the new endings are bangers too. And as far as Frieren goes, you need to up your expectations if I'm being honest. Everything in the story is amazingly done. Beautiful story, character development, life lessons, action, etc. Then the studio that made the anime enhanced it even further with amazing animation, beautiful osts and sound design, etc. There is a reason that it took over the number one spot for highest rated anime on MyAnimeList. Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood held the top spot for an insanely long time, and Frieren took the spot from it. It is a must watch, and is in my top 5 anime along with Vinland Saga, One Piece, HunterxHunter, and Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. Not sure why the main character is what is making you not want to watch it, but she is an amazingly written character. If you're an emotional person, the first episode might make you cry honestly. Give it a shot, I'd like to see your reaction to episode one.

i never gave a sht about volleyball. after watching it and then reading it, this became one of the few series i consider a flawless 10/10. not even attack on titan was a 10 for me (still a 9.5) haikyuu is not just about volleyball, even though it's the central part of the show. it's themes and characters are what keeps you glued to the screen/pages. you will 100% find a character that speaks to your soul

two of my favorite quotes from the series "being good means being free" pretty self explanatory, just think how many times you felt frustrated because of your current skill. be it sports, work... it applies to everything "he who would climb the ladder must start at the bottom" the second one especially. there are tons of times in life where you jump into stuff without much thought, and then you like it, and expect to become good without even realizing what the basics are

Frieren quickly became my top 1 anime ever, but it's not for everyone. It's very slow paced, but the pace is very well built, and everything around it. It wouldn't be the same if it wasn't that slow. Has some action, and really well animated, but not as frequently as the usual shonen. Together with Apothecary Diaries they outdid themselves with female MCs last year. Finally, lol. Up to each one though. Better not to force yourself to watch something you're not in the mood to watch, unless you're making content with it. I'm still trying to find strength to finish JJK second season. I'm mid way and can't bring myself to keep watching.

Yes, seriously. I thought I made it pretty clear, sorry. I've watched dozens and dozens and dozens (My job allows me to watch series during work hours) animes over 30 years and yes, Frieren is currently my favorite one. Do I think it's the best? No. Of course not. It's the one that accommodates perfectly to my tastes. Particularly the main plot and how it's driven, which makes us disagree but that's ok, to each their own and it's 100% subjective. As I said previously, it's not for everyone. For example I could say Cowboy Bebop, Attack on Titan, or Dandadan are better in many many ways, just to name a few.
