@ my favorite English song by wonder girls is Like Money ft Akon, such a slept on masterpiece when 2nd gen was pushing western markets! Yeah idk why people getting mad, like they act like kpop artists like any other artists can’t explore others genres of music. Shakira international Latin pop singer. She makes English and Spanish pop songs… her English made songs are considered Latin pop/reggaetone… Beyonce an an international pop singer, but last year she released a country album, just because it was beyonce a pop singer doesn’t make the songs she made pop… I enjoyed Jungkook’s music, but even his solo album wasn’t kpop and when you google it, him nor him company ever promoted as one, it’s recognized as an English global targeted album. Not kpop. I’m not saying you necessarily need to speak English in every song/lyric to be kpop, because kpop music is structured differently from western & more international music, themes are different etc and so much more. Even an English version of a song you can listen and tell my the structure it’s kpop, for example, MOONLIGHT SUNRISE BY TWICE. Korean or English you can listen and hear the difference in music structure than an originally English western made song. The language isn’t the only thing that makes a song a type of song, nor is where the person from… lmao people sound crazy… that kind of logic every song bad bunny makes no matter his English or Japanese songs are only reggaeton 🤣🤣 make it make sense.
