He has that voice texture which suits on sad/breakup songs. His husky voice is melancholic. I have heard most songs of Rafi and Mukesh. have heard 'chahunga main tujhe saanjh savere' and 'o duniya ke rakhwaale' songs. But just because they are old singers, it doesn't make them king of sad songs. Don't be a blind fan of old singers. You have to listen 'main phir bhi tumko chahunga ,man dhoondne ko zamaane mein, humaari adhuri kahani and many more sad songs of Arijit sir then you would realise.
