You’re far better off stiffing medical bills than parking tickets, trust me, I didn’t pay them due to literally not having enough money. They can eventually give you a warrant if you were supposed to show up in court(it wasn’t a payable ticket), suspend your liscence and tow you. Even tho it’s technically illegal, cops do it all the time where they just sit there and scan every single cars tags that crossed their path, and that will show up on their radar. Therefore, they will tow your car and possibly arrest you for the reasons listed formerly. Not to mention each time you get pulled over for these “violations” points keep adding up which can also get your liscence suspended/taken away, so when they say tickets can ruin your life or they “have you by the balls,” it’s not an exaggeration. Not paying medical bills messed up your credit score, that’s it.

Legacy parking lies about their prices, the curbside parking meters are always hidden and the signs are placed behind trees so you can't see them, and the parking garages are so damn expensive. you can totally do what Austin is doing as long as you aren't going back to that State for 3 or 4 years. I don't recommend doing it, but yeah parking tickets will disappear in most (if not all) states after a few years, and then you can go get yourself another ticket :D (this doesn't apply equally to any other like... _actual_ crimes though. Even minor ones. It only applies to parking violations, and _maybe_ some actual moving violations but definitely not most.)
