Fruit is the one that gets me. I had a colleague say 'don't eat too much of those' when i was munching on a slice of watermelon, or an obese friend saying she's cutting down on fruits. Like does she usually eat 10 bananas or something? Craziness..
@siemniak2 жыл бұрын
Yes. I'm currently working at a company whete there are like 80 procent overweight to obese people and they just love to talk about what food is good for you and which is not. I always snack like 3 bit or chocolate around them, being below 15 procent body fat and they cannot stand it. They cannot comprehend simple fact that I count that in. 500 kcal of chocolate is not gonna kill you. But the funniest thing I've heard was overweight guy talking about diet drinks. Of course he drinks everything with sugar in it while I stick to diet ones. His arguments was the diet drinks are not healthy for u and are just as bad as sugar drinks or even worse and they influence insuline. I didn't even reply. If somebody is like 30 procent body fat and believes he knows more than you while you hide a six pack under your shirt you know you will not win an argument. There is no reason to even try to debate that with them. And I always laugh when I order pizza once in a while and they only eat their salads. Probably filled with fats from some sauce they added in. People are really clueless.

When people say processed food is bad for you they don't understand that ANY food that has been altered is processed. Turning wheat into flour( literally just grinding it up) is considered processed. Most people don't understand what that word actually means.

I stumbled upon your channel thinking that it might be sensitive for me as someone who's experienced disordered eating but I've watched many of your videos with caution only to feel more of a sense of relief with food, even if it may not look like it right away, you actually come off as very balanced when it comes to food, I used to feel so horrible about eating french toast because everyone said it was "unhealthy" and I had such a hard time changing my diet into a healthy one because articles would deem the foods you listed as "unhealthy" while others said it was healthy and it got to the point where I only felt safe with few foods and guilty with everything else. All your advice has allowed me to start being happy with what I eat - how I shouldn't worry about how healthy is healthy (like canned veggies vs fresh) and the whole notion of being in a calorie deficit still lets me enjoy the comfort foods I like - ice cream, chocolate, etc. as long as I keep it in a sensible portion so I stay in a deficit. And now I like to eat protein and fiber-rich foods cause that's what my body feels best in and I don't need to eat as much junk food as I used to :)

I am 110 lbs and I eat wraps all the time as well as the other “bad” foods from this video, what’s the big deal, there is no secret to good shape: calories in vs calories out, man! I do 25k steps whenever I get the chance to and stay overall active throughout the week, even on the days I hafta sit in the office for 9 hours straight, there’s always gonna be excuses (the weather is off, tired, lazy, not feeling it) but demonizing food is never the right thing to do. Food is fuel, food is energy, no such thing as BAD food if you follow a balanced diet and eat in moderation. Why is this so hard to comprehend by so many Jeezz
@randybobandy98283 жыл бұрын
People want to blame types of of food instead of the fact that they just eat too MUCH food. It takes the some of the responsibility away from them. People simply eat to many calories in the US and a huge source of hidden calories is in soda.

It’s only unhealthy if you are an idiot who eats a fuck ton of rice and not a lot of meat or healthy fats. White Rice in and of its self is not healthy or unhealthy. Most people don’t realize that the definition of a healthy meal has a lot to do with balance. 90% of the time someone’s fat, they just need to eat more meat(protein) and move around more. Sure if you eat 2400 calories of rice and guacamole and burn 2500 cals a day you’ll lose Weight but let me know how long you last doing that lol.

I have a popcorn popper you can put in the microwave, I put about 3 tsbp of unpopped popcorn kernels, about 15 to 20 grams of butter, some everything bagel season (garlic, onion powder, sesame ect) pop it for about 3 and a half minutes. Make a delicious snack, I even had it as a side with sandwiches and burgers.

Basically something can be called unhealthy if it's either/both: 1. High in sugar 2. High in fat in proportion to the protein
@ShadowQuik5 жыл бұрын
Exceptions being natural sources of fat/sugar like avocado or fruit or whatever
@Answeriz425 жыл бұрын
*saturated fats
@kevinlochley61095 жыл бұрын
Polyunsaturated are actually more dangerous then saturated fats especially if you consider the fact that many people overdo them. Butter is demonized a lot in the health industry but the reality is that it’s much safer then your typical canola, vegetable, or seed oils. Coconut oil and butter are much better sources of fat and are rich in saturated fat. Are they unhealthy? No! Of course don’t start eating 2 sticks of butter a day but you get my point. As far as sugar goes, it’s not bad if something is high in sugar if it’s also high in fiber and protein. Not to mention that glucose metabolism plays a pretty big role in how sugar effects the body. Just look at the athletes at your school, they probably eat tons of sugar but they aren’t fat or really unhealthy because there burning a lot of the sugar as energy
@metroidprime24845 жыл бұрын

French toast: High likelyhood of binge eating because it's so good. The difference between french toast and rice or potato is because you're likely to measure a specific # of grams or 1/2 cup and stick with that. For bulking body builders I'm sure mackin' down on french toast is awesome (wish I could) but for the rest of us, it's far too caloric. It's not a question of healthy vs. not healthy (unless you're diabetic), it us a question of calories.

Eating no carbs can be bad but there is a lot of science that proves low carb diets are ideal, especially for losing weight and decreasing inflammation.
