If you want an owners opinion, I'd avoid Rosy Barbs. I'll give you a little background. We have a 20-gallon tank that now houses the following. 8 X Zebra Danio 2 X Platy 1 X Common Goldfish. Before I upped the Zebra stock in the tank, I bought three Neon Rosy Barbs. Honestly, I've not seen such an aggressive fresh water fish. They consistently bullied and nipped at are small common goldfish to the point I took them back and replaced them with more Zebra's. Just a heads up, are Goldfish is still a juvenial, and the minute he becomes too large for the 20-gallon tank, he is currently housed in he will be moved to my uncles Goldfish and koi pond. He was a rescue from a friend who was keeping him in a empty small bowl with zero filtration filled with tap water.

Is it true i can add my 2 goldfish on my zebra danios? Reply please
@AquariumStoreDepot9 ай бұрын
Yes - you can keep them. The goldfish will try to eat them, but the danios are too fast for them.
@andrewdefty60442 ай бұрын
I'd never keep Danio's with Goldfish as they will nip at fins, more so the Fancy long flowing finned Goldfish. This is one I'd totally avoid at all cost! I know this from experience...

Kindly suggest a few fishes which are compatible with gold fish. Because my gold fish is killing other fishes and hence remaining the only fish in the tank.
@andrewdefty6044Ай бұрын
@@pragyasenger4137 I have had success with Platy's (the various colours did not seem to bother the Goldfish). Platy's are so docile and they just go around minding their own. Hope this helps a little.

Sir I hv 23 cichlid 90 gal tank all best from last 3 years but as cichlid do fight for breeding so after 1 month my 1 fish die which make me upset now I plan to shift from cichlid to goldfish but as they do more waste and need more water change now with cichlid I change 40% water after 30 day. Plz I need your help do I go for goldfish or not
@carlythatcher7474 Жыл бұрын
You would need to do a 30-40% water change weekly with goldfish. You’d also want a canister filter. They’re water levels can go bad quickly because of how much waste they produce. If you have a Facebook, join some goldfish groups on there! Lots of good info!

Can koi fishe be a great friend to goldfish?

Yes koi and goldfish mix well together in ponds 😊. I left koi off the list because I was focused on aquarium environments only.
