Most frags on this list are excellent but a bit out of my financial range. So I have gladly to do with: 1. Burberry London. Still thé Xmass frag. And I have no issues with performance (Coty version). 2. Xerjoff, Lira. Had a real good deal. But with the citrus opening and the cinnamon and caramel it's definitely Xmassy. 3. l'Occitane, Eau de Beaux, what's not Xmass about this gem? 4. L'Artisan Parfumeur, Noir Exquis. For me the roasted chestnuts, maple syrup, vanilla, heliotrope and orange are very Xmass. 5. Last but not least. Serge Lutens, Five'O Clock Eau Gingembre. Such a cozy cinnamon ginger spicy smell with that church incense in the opening. A wish you Seb and all your viewers a wonderful Xmass and great holidays! 🌲🧑🎄

When I wear Royal Crown Sultan I remind myself of eggnog, but maybe also a spicy vanilla pudding or creme brulee-type dessert.. Also, there's Serge Lutens Arabie for holiday spices and stewed fruits, spice pomanders around a dining room of polished wood where a sophisticated holiday feast with dessert will be served.

I love Winter of 99 by Kerosene this time of year. It reminds me of my mother making fruitcake and applesauce cake - I swear I can even smell the flour in there. Aaron Terence Hughes did a Christmas version of his Fake fragrance last year and it may be the most Christmas-y thing I own. It is every yummy spice you can think of and a hefty dose of sweetness, all on top of a smoky oud accord. My Christmas scent this year will likely be the new Fetes de Noel by Darren Alan Perfumes. It's a vintage chypre but he has added some gorgeous spiced orange to it and it is absolutely stunning.

I do perceive cloves in COSTUME NATIONAL HOMME PARFUM and I do enjoy that fragrance a lot: I'm glad I own it. Cloves is definitely one of my favorite notes/ingredients in perfumery, and I like other spices too, e.g. cinnamon. I hope to try the other fragrances which are mentioned in this video because I'd probably like a lot of them, and because some of them might be something I'd truly like to have in my collection.

This December I got a sample from America Perfumer called Tapestry (by Sarah Horowitz-Thran). I absolutely am entranced by this beauty. Smells like a cross between Maison Margiella Jazz Club & Chanel Egoiste but much better than you think. It's got some familiar Egoiste base tones and a wonderful booze vibe. American Perfumer held a drawing for the yearly 50 bottles that get sold and I won the right to buy one. I got bottle 23/50 from this set. I highly recommend, Sebastian, that you email them and ask if they have any remaining and if not then I encourage you to get in on trying to grab a bottle out of next year's run. I can't believe they aren't pushing this as a full release.

There's a traditional mulled wine punch served during Christmas time called the "smoking bishop", that involves sticking cloves into roasted whole oranges, and putting those oranges into the punch before heating the whole thing up. If Noir Epices smells like that, then I might have to put it on my radar.

Since last Christmas, my Christmas day scent has been the OG EDP version of Costume National Homme. Supposedly the Parfum version you featured is very similar. Costume National Homme is a perfect Christmas sweet potpourri smell. This past Thanksgiving I wore a layering combo of MMM By the Fireplace on my left arm, MMM Jazz Club on my right arm, and Costume National Homme EDP on my middle torso. It worked really well as a holiday scent. I think I will adopt it for Christmas day too. Should I replace Jazz Club on my right arm with Tobacco Vanille? One question about "warm spices" vs. "fresh spices". Are the warm spices cinnamon, cloves, all spice, nutmeg and the fresh spices cumin, caraway, pepper, coriander? I get confused by this. So what seems to be sweet spices like cinnamon , cloves and allspice to me I call "sweet spices" and then I group everything else as "non sweet". What is cardamom? Ginger?

Aramis' JHL was named after Estee Lauder's husband, Joseph H. Lauder, and stock seems to have been depleted at all their authorized retailers as its been discontinued since around 2016 or so. Estee Lauder divorced Joseph Lauder in 1939 and remarried him in 1942. This is one that never reached the discounters. I have Costume National Homme edp. I'm not sure about the opening notes of grapefruit and bergamot, but mid notes of cloves and cinnamon are pretty pungent in the opening. What surprised me is that you didn't mention Burberry London.
