I blind bought Musc Noir Rose after Curly Scents video and I am SO obsessed! It smells like a sweet, musky vanilla on me and I've already worn it a lot since getting it. Never thought I'd say this, but it might be signature scent worthy for me! And I had the EXACT same experience with Fancy as you! Bought it for the caramel and HATED it because all I smelled was floral. I still kept it anyways and just let it sit on my shelves for years and now I actually smell a delicious, sweet caramel. The floral is there on first spray, but once it dries it's just a sweet caramel. Was surprised to hear our experience with Fancy was so identical! LOL

@Ksenja, PERFUME TIP: have you ever walked the path of the Arabian perfume houses? Fair warning: huge rabbit hole 🕳 🐇! I think their typical female fragrances might really be your thing (The unisex ones are probably too spicy and oudh-y for you). They're often quite sweet with a lot of gourmand and fruity notes. Rose is a much used flower in many of their perfumes and I was never a Rose lover, but have done a 180 because of them. I think you might like Regina by Ajmal (I'm getting backups! ). It's a plum bomb with a luscious rose on a bed of amber and mahogany. Then Andaleeb by Asdaaf... so yum. A typical sweet floriental, but even floral haters tend to like this one. Armaf's The Pride of Armaf Femme is a chocolate-coffee-almonds concoction that reminds me a bit of Good Girl, but different. Especially the dry down is delicious. Armaf-Passion (that bottle 😍), Lattafa Fakhar Women and Rasasi-Daarej are perhaps better suited for warmer weather, but it depends on your skin which notes come out. I like them. Maybe Lattafa Opulent Red, Lattafa Velvet Rose and Lattafa Leil Maleki (definitely winter scents) could be your thing too, they all have notes you like, but again: your skin is so important. I've not opened the last 3 yet since they just arrived from the Czech Republic and my experience is that the molecules need some rest first. But just wanted to get you started 😉. Especially Lattafa and Armaf can be bought cheap. But they also have luxe/prive lines or niche ones. As requested, MY FALL-WINTER FRAGRANCE LIST: Fall-Winter scents: Ajmal-Regina, Armaf- The Pride of Armaf, Violet Blossom Zara, Andaleeb-Asdaaf, Love - Chopard, Hypnotic Poison-Dior, Hugo Boss Alive Intense, Lalique-Amethyst, YSL- Libre and Zara Golden Decade, Givenchy - L'interdit Rouge, Zara - Gardenia (Black Opium), JPG-Scandal and I'm going to try my hardest to keep wearing Armani My Way and Saffron & Orange Flowers by Jo Malone/Zara until the cold overpowers it. I also have a few fragrances I like to get for the colder months, especially if the last Arabian haul turns out disappointing on my skin (so far everything I tried was either nice - better suited to Spring - or delicious, but you can never know): wishlisters I might pull the trigger on because they're discounted atm: Salvador Dali - Purple Lips Sensuelle, or Ruby Lips or Dalissime, a Pascal Morabito (Perle pour Elle, Aimer, Lady in Red are all possible yummy AW-scents) and Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire. Also high, but expensive, so I'm not sure yet: Givenchy Hot Couture, Tresor La Nuit, Attar Collection - Hayati or Afnan Modest Pour Deux Femme (btw, also right up your alley, I think). Actually, my perfumes wishlist is several A4 pages long 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️, so usually what I can get cheap goes first. Unless I find a perfect alternative for Fleur Defendue by Lolita Lempicka. My last bottle (it's discontinued) unfortunately changed so much - the Patchouli became very earthy and it's missing the prominence of anise - I'll sell or gift it. But this is one of my all time favourites and somehow their other perfumes just don't make the cut. Tips are welcome!

When I first tried Fancy I would mainly smell florals. After the 3rd time wearing it I started smelling the sweet notes, and when I pair it with a gourmand body mist (like raspberry jam donut by BBW for example) it comes across even more gourmand and brings the caramel note to the forefront. I now love it! 😊

Mine too!! I just put away most of my typical summer scents in the cupboard for their wintersleep, but I just couldn't say goodbye to My Way yet. I'm going to see if it survives the coming two months now that my skin chemistry has changed (I actually fear it might be worse this time around, lol, but this is just one of those "Sniff, sniff, AH! 🥲🫠🤤 Sniiiif" perfumes, lol. ). I've decided to layer with bodymist or my own made perfumed moisturiser (a clean, no scent moisturiser, mix with several sprays of your favourite SOTD and moisture first and then spray over that) to see how long I can wear my favourites that are not typically for the AW season.

I had the same feeling about Fancy when I first bought it. Ive found that if I layer it with BBW coconut cream pie or confetti and RUB it in it breaks up the florals and I get the sweet caramel that everyone raves over. I know we arent supposed to rub perfumes but I am so happy that I did that lol.

I love NR Musc Noir Rose! As a rose lover (JM Red Roses and Perfumers Workshop, Tea Rose) this perfume doesn’t have any rose note that I can detect. Is my nose broken? I smell whiffs of light tuberose which I absolutely love as well. Ksenja, Violet Blossom is one of my favorite Zara cheapies!! It’s so plummy and tonka creamy. I know it’s not listed, but I smell dark rich fruits like plum and black cherry.

Ugh, I so get you. I haven't bought Fancy (yet), but I recently got a few popular fragrances for the cooler months that were supposed to have nice vanilla and caramel and rum and yummy raspberries, strawberries, honey etc etc. Nothing! Zilch, zero! Only one or two of the notes that weren't my favourites that much. And even one perfume that gave me a cloud of alcohol and then nothing at all anymore 🤯. I know my skin isn't the easiest for perfume (very, very dry and also perfume eating: even so called beasts need to be oversprayed 🤷‍♀️), so maybe that's the issue. But I really hope that some mastication will help for the both of us.

Great recommendations for Fantastic 😍 Mens Cologne are Chrome By Azzaro and if you like Hugo Boss elements Aqua and Cool Water 🌊 The Coolest Edition it smells very citrus and woody and clean I absolutely bought it on a whim at my chemist for my husband Shayne as a Birthday present and he is obsessed. If you can find these I highly recommend ☺️ there beautiful and long lasting and affordable.
