"Forgotten stories".... No... not at all. You are talking about the religions of India. These stories are kept alive in sacred literature, Bollywood movies, comic books, and Temples throughout India. Hindus LOVE these stories.

How about RAKSHASAS? Lots of fabulous stories with Rakshasas!
@rohitbenarsie7407 ай бұрын
Very grateful that others like you are interested in these stories. It is okay that you missed some creatures and made some mistakes. To understand this mythology, you have to live it i.e. you have to listen to these from childhood onward, or else you will use western paradigms to understand these in today's westernized worldview. Plus, only the fantasy of a child's mind is powerful enough to visualize these creatures. They will seem silly to lots of adults.

"Hindu" isn't a specific caste though people identify that term with the (now outlawed) "caste system" of India, so I can see where you got that from. The term "Hindu" is a corruption of the word "Sindhu" which is the Sanskrit word for the Indus River... which morphed into an English term "Hindu" referring to all the religions practiced on the OTHER side of the Indus River (within India). It became an umbrella term for MANY diverse religions and traditions in India. "Sanatana Dharma" is loosely translated as "the way of the eternal being or ultimate beingness". Outsiders refer to practitioners of Vedic-based religion as "Hindus" but many "Hindus" self-identify as practitioners of Sanatana... REGARDLESS OF CASTE or social standing within this world. Did I miss something?

Macabre? Kindly stop being offensive and bothersome. Just because most Dharm followers are peaceful does not mean you can put up a narrative which is insulting. I bet you will describe the biblical angels as terrifying too.
