They are really great shot makers. Efren Reyes even praised the young players now that he believes that they may be able to beat him. But, while watching the normal pace of their games and the normal pace they play, it cannot be denied that Reyes really sees shots and safeties several shots ahead, he makes it to look so easy, and he makes it so entertaining. Efren plays fast. He revolutionized how billiards is being played. This is the revolution to which these new and excellent players are obviously following. May these players extend futher the possibilities and the prestige of this sport.

Alex takes the win here overall. Beautifully creative shots. No surprise either =) I love the way he plays. Wonderful accuracy combined with vision and imagination. No wonder he is where he is in the pool world. =) That said, I DO like Jayson Shaw a lot... I think he's an incredible natural talent. He has a tendency to go a little off the rails and get wild when it's not necessary though. That's fine when you're messing around with your friends at your local pool hall, but on the international pro circuit, he needs to get serious. This is his job so it's not a joke any more. But who the hell am I? I'm not his manager, but I admire his skill and sometimes it's hard to see him make silly mistakes

@DjWarp796 жыл бұрын
I watched the link. sorry to say i'm not impressed. Actually the first shot is a fluke. Yes he called it on the corner but his idea is to carom the ball but i don't think he intended to double kiss the ball to go in. and that 4 rail shot yes it's fun to see that shot on a tournament but still it is just a normal shot. You know what i am talking about if you are a pool player. That shot only look amazing because he had the guts to take that shot on a tournament. @harrymills27704 жыл бұрын
I remember playing bank 8, accounting for the spin on the object ball to predict its angle of reflection off the bank. I got pretty good at it. It was a matter of accepting that the object ball would be spinning when it hit the bank, especially if I had to cut it thin. But the professionals use English on the cue ball to make the object ball bounce whatever angle they WANT. It's not at all like the Disney cartoon where they get all geometric and talk about angle of incidence = angle of reflection. I suppose I'd've learned this if I'd played in many tournaments and really paid attention to the best players. But it never got past saving a few quarters on the pay tables, by making the game longer, by requiring a bank shot on the 8! LOL! I did a LITTLE bit of English, for the leave, but the level of control by these pro players is miles beyond anything I ever achieved.

Good shots but definitely not "best". Some didn't even setup the next ball.

M Lucas I 1000% agree. I'm glad I'm not the only one who commented saying the same thing. I've made these types of shots 100's if not 1000's of times

Cliff Edward Do them under pressure and come back. I am a money player and yes. Some of those shots are not hard to make when practicing and shitting around relaxed around a table. But doing it in a turnament is something else.

Its a shame the game called snooka exists ! If it didnt these shots would truely be great!

Long potting is harder in snooker and just potting average shots require more accuracy but as you can see none of these shots are about distance. Shaw's 1-9 plant is an insanely difficult shot, Pagulayan's contact with the 2 to play the carrom/plant in in the same shot is creative. Pagulayan's top spin to get the safety is such a difficult shot, the two safeties from Neils and Pagulayan require such precise judgement. Ralf and Karl's bank were good because of the great position they got as well, and let's be honest, pool players are better at doubles. I could go on but you get the point, these are all great shots whether Snooker exsists or not.

Ice Bear sorry alot of these shots i could play and im a Friday night pub player! Don't get me wrong i can play to! I dont play snooka as its way to hard! All these shots are about potting balls but in snooka its about where the white goes next! Yes in pool you need to place the white but in one game of pool you may have to once play a tough shot in snooka their is 10 tuff shots! And the main thing is pocket size! In pool you can hit the cushion and still go in!! You have no idea by your comments ! PLEASE don't even compair this to snooka its a whole different league!!!

I'm not comparing Snooker and Pool, you are, the only comparison I've made is the doubles/banks which I said pool players are better at it. Aside from that my entire comment was to show you that these shots are not about accuracy but more about touch, inventiveness and creativity. I seriously doubt you can play that safety Alex Pagulayan played on the three on the first try, yeah take about 10 tries then you might get it, but not just making it but to even see a shot like that and execute it. I'm willing to bet you make almost none of these first shots on your first go. And yes, ball positioning in 9 ball is equally important as in snooker, but I do agree that in snooker you generally have to play tougher shots more often than in pool. But replying to your first like; "sorry alot of these shots i could play and im a Friday night pub player''. Yeah, when I watch a snooker top 10 shots from a tournament I can make the shots too, they're mostly long pots and they're extremely difficult, but I more likely won't get them on my first try, that's the point. It's seeing the shots these players see, and executing it on the first try under pressure. Btw, I'm also a big snooker fan, Selby's and Murphy are 2 of my favorite players, I appreciate both sports for what they are.

Ice Bear brother all i said was snooka is on another level and it is a FACT! I said i could make MOST of these shots and i CAN! CONSISTENTLY! You think besides long shots snooka is the same! Well if you believe that you are CLUELESS ! The width of the pockets on snooker is foolproof! You have to hit it cleanly or its not going in! Mate in 9 ball you can go of the cushion and still go in! In the next game of 9 ball you watchs see how many times they shoot cleanly without the aid of the cushion! I never said these guys are not good players they are and would beat me but snooka is on another level and that's just a fact! Thats all i said if you dont agree go play a game see how good you are compaired to 9 ball! Then come back and we will talk!!
@baddazzgarage29536 жыл бұрын
Ice Bear do u think these guys would nail them 10 out of 10 then! All i said is snooka has much greater posistion shots and many of them in 1 game! Compaired to snooka theze shots are not as good and its TRUE! No i could not make these shots 10 out of 10 maybe 5! But alot of snooks top shots i would probably try 15 20 times befor i could fluke one! Their is a couple of shots hear i would struggle to hit were spin is involved but would still make them easier than snooka shots! Snooka play much greater shots consistently if you dont think that snooka is not a much tuffer game thats your opinion but i disagree with you! And i didnt say these are not great shots i just said conpaired to snooka they are not and i think you would find most people who understand both games would agree! Try watching ronnie O'Sullivan best breaks if you want to see total mastery! The art of cleaning up a snooka table makes 9 ball look cheap and the most important reason why is pocket size! If 9 ball had tight pockets id consider lifting 9 ball and i play all my 9 ball with tight pockets pub size tables you guys in the states use pockets so large its almost cheating ! Its quiet easy to clean a table with usa tables ! Why they made pockets that size im not sure but it takes away the whole art of the game were you have to hit the ball perfect or almost perfect to pot! You can reflect of the cushion and it still goes in i mean its cheating the original art of the game! And these guys jump around like clowns snooka is a gentleman's game of precision ! Why did they invent 9 ball and smaller tables?? So everyday people can actually play the game and have a chance of potting and have a little fun! I think its your ego getting in front of reality to be honest snooka is a much greater game its just a fact ! Dont take it to personaly the usa are the best golf players for a long time but when it comes to snooka v 9 ball its just a different league!!
