The Cave of the Crystals is actually a type of Gypsum which is soft; #2 on the Mohs hardness scale which can be scratched with your fingernail. These huge gypsum crystals can often be confused with Quartz Crystal; the next crystal shown, but they are very different. Quartz Crystals are formed from Silica Dioxide and is # 7 on the Mohs scale. I live in the U.S. and in the state of Arkansas and you can go to a lot of places that are open to the public....pay a very small fee...and dig and keep any Quartz Crystals that you find. It is real fun and exciting to dig/hunt for Quartz Crystals because you never know what you will dig up, anywhere from individual crystals to clusters of crystals of all sizes; mostly hand size and somewhat larger, but not many find a cluster as large as the one shown here.

Awesome list! Totally recommend visiting the Ron Coleman mine in Arkansas. You can dig up your own quartz there and and they have a fantastic rock shop. Was lucky enough to score an absolutely beautiful quartz sample from their shop worth at least $100 by my reckoning for only $25. (no, I don't work for them lol. I just think they're neat xD)

It was a geode..they form the shell part first had the crystals grow from pockets of mineral saturated water of the inside hollow has the same kid of water seep into hollow space. Diamonds ate the products of magma from volcanic action solidifying a certain way from just the right sort of magma..o you won't find Diamond. Crystals encased in the same way as a geode. You find diamonds a loose or in veins of volcanic rock....

I love crystals especially for the reason that it is used for spiritual healing. Recently I had an itching thought that maybe we are over mining the crystals and not thinking so much about what it'll do to mother earth because I see people posting online showing ridiculous amount of huge crystals being harvested and sold in outdoor markets. I really hope that is not the case. It only grows about two centimeter over a period of ten million years depending what type. With an increasing amount earthquakes going on recently over the years it affects the growth rate of crystals as well. We have to be mindful of how much we harvest. We should only take only what is needed. Sorry for being a party pooper but I think it makes sense to be moderate and not get overboard with harvesting mother earth's minerals. Let's show some love and respect to mother earth. Love and light to all taking the time to read this with an open mind. Namaste 💜
