As someone who has always played 70% games developed in Japan, I have felt like the last few years since covid have been a truly amazing time to be a gamer. I know that people who play mostly western games or multiplayer action games feel otherwise. But I'm feeling less excited about 2025 so far. I can count on my fingers the number of 2025 games I'm really excited for, and I'm not sure any of them will bring as much joy to gamers like me as this year's Astro Bot, FF7 Rebirth, Metaphor ReFantazio, etc. Let's hope some of the first-party Xbox games in this video actually come out and actually deliver great gameplay! Otherwise, I'll just be looking forward to launch year surprise-games for Switch 2...
