I have been living in HoChiMinh this winter and get by great on less than $20/day. My homestay efficiency apt is $270/Mo. Pho @ $2.00 and a great vegetarian buffet for $1.75. Street food is everywhere on the cheap. You may as well walk short trips of up to 2 miles because walking would be quicker than a taxi.

Come visit Cambodia 🇰🇭. We've got ancient temples, beaches, hiking/camping, ecotourism, yummy food, lazy town vibes, very friendly people, etc. It's very cheap here, so you can make it here as backpackers. And if you want to splurge, good accommodations can also be found at very reasonable prices. If you decide to travel around South East Asia, Cambodia should definitely be one of your destinations.

Thank you for the beautiful photos and travel suggestions! I enjoyed this video, but a couple of things concerned me: (1) Croatia is not a city and there is much more to visit there than one place. (2) India can be inexpensive once you are there, but so far I have been unable to find a reasonably priced way to get there from the US. Any suggestions would be welcome.

There sure are some beautiful countries on this list. About Mexico though it's amazing but 70$/day is waay to much! I traveled it in 2022 for a month and found that 35$ (including ATM fees) is enough to get you a nice hostel dorm, transportation (climatized and safe buses), souvenirs, eating out and having drinks aswell as activities. Also Guatemala should be on this list, it's incredibly diverse and beatiful (around 40$/day for the same things). PS: I speak spanish which might have helped me a little.

Very true! I Went to Colombia for my birthday last October & it was one of the best international trips I've been on. I stayed in Medellin (Poblado area), but visited Rionegro & Guatape as well. Colombia is very inexpensive, my 8 day stay at my hotel was $342 USD. Everyone I encountered was very kind. I will definitely travel back in the future.

I'm from US and Costa Rica is not that cheap and shouldn't be on this list. Almost all parks require a fee. Car must be insured and your US car and medical insurance won't work here. You have to buy them separately. Most products are about the same price or more expensive.

Sorry a bit of positive criticism if I may, but I have to mention the pronunciation of some of the terms and names. If you're doing an informative video, a bit more research on pronunciation might help - especially if its other people's countries that are being discussed? A few stumbles I picked up on were the '(Indian) beaches in 'Groya' - I think you mean Goa (Go-a) and in Georgia you'll actually find the Caucusus Mountains, not the Caucasian Mountains. And if I may - Croatia is a country, not a city, and Cape Verde is an 'archipelago', not an archi-pel-ago'.

They can be very cheap. Prices begin to fall when you ask the price in a hotel, and then you stand there and make it clear you are deliberating about whether you want the room or not. In no time, they start decreasing the price by offering discounts.

This list is neither full nor right, first of all Croatia and Greece are not cheap at all, Dubrovnik in Croatia is quite expensive, Mykonos and Santorini in Greece as well. In India there are NOT hotels for 5-10$, when did you visit India last time, I was there in September 22 and the cheapest 4* hotels are around 60$ per night. You missed nice countries with lots to do such as Bulgaria and Serbia in Eastern Europe.
@sarahw65912 жыл бұрын
I just came back from a trip where I visited both Greece and India. First, Greece can be cheap. If you don’t go to the islands that are the most popular like the ones you listed. There are many more islands that cost much less to see and are just as beautiful. And the ones closest to Athens are very cheap to travel to by ferry. Then you can easily get a hotel on one of those less popular islands around $30 a night in mid-low season. Maybe even less. The season you travel really matters with Greece. If you go in the summer everything will be more expensive. Now, india. You can find hotels as cheap as $10 but you likely won’t enjoy them so much. In South india I stayed at a hotel that was $15 a night for a few nights. The bed was good, it had hot water, and it wasn’t too shabby, I’d stay there again if I were back in the area. My favorite place I stayed was an Airbnb that was $22 a night. It was wonderful and the laundry service was much cheaper than it was staying at more expensive hotels. Lot’s of places can be cheap, but all these places can be expensive if u make them expensive. 😊
@annkk50372 жыл бұрын
@@sarahw6591 if you visited Greece now in winter, of course it will be cheaper than summer. For India I dont compromise with hygiene and comfort to stay in hostels for 15$, it is up to me to spend more to feel better...
@sarahw65912 жыл бұрын
@@annkk5037 I never stayed in any hostels, only hotels and Airbnb’s. 😌👍🏼 I also care about Hygiene, I left a place after checking in that I didn’t feel was hygienic enough for me at one point. And I was in Greece in October my dear. 😊
@sarahw65912 жыл бұрын
@@annkk5037 like I said in the first message, anywhere can be expensive if you make it expensive. This list isn’t accurate for you because you’re clearly making your trips more expensive yourself. It doesn’t mean these locations can’t be made cheaper for others tho.
