Awesome video as always. Loved the Griffey SL card. I have his '92 SL figure with the card in tact and also have the Jeter Rookie '96 figure with the card in tact. I can't wait to take them out...very carefully and get them graded. Also a fun fact Tony Gwynn's first name being Anthony Keith as well lol. I'll use that whenever I run into a trivia night lol.

I need to get my 1986 topps nolan ryan graded. Looks perfect! I guess I never really,considered 1984-1986 cards as part of the junk wax era. I usually consider 1987-1995 (roughly)

Exact copy sales are from PSA website. If you search the serial number it will give you a sales history for the card.

FROM 89 TO 93 OR 94 I have 60 cards per team, 2 or 3 a player in order by team all in sleeves in a 3 inch binder along with the 1991 full upperdeck cards along with the white box.

I know this might be a stupid question but is there a major difference between a BGS and a PSA graded card? I have noticed that BGS graded seems to bring more than one graded from PSA.

EBay sold listings. Those are Pristine examples though, typically sell at a premium to PSA 10s.

Not Tiffany. Just regular Topps. Some are high because of low pops, some are very condition sensitive like '86 so tough to Gem. Some are set collectors with too much money...

Bruh, 1985 is not the Junk Wax era. Your first card, a 1985 Topps Cal Ripken Jr. (his 4th year card (5th Topps card)) proves this. $765 for a base 4th year card should tell you it wasn't Junk Wax. Anything pre-1987 is not "junk wax". Only 5-6 of your top 15 are actually in the Junk Wax era and they're all shorter prints cards. Either Leaf, Topps Gold or Autos. Junk Wax Era is 87 to 93 IMO. That's when the boom happened. That's when Home Runs shot up and the companies saw the rush to the younger power hitters and began overprinting to cash in. 1987 was the first time a player had approached 50 homeruns since Foster hit 52 in '77. People were chasing McGwire, Dawson and Bell while Rookies and 2nd year players like Clark, Snyder, Davis, Joyner, Bonds, Canseco, Carter, etc. were hitting 30+. 1985 and 86 were NOT Junk Wax. Just look at the total pops. 1985 - 263k total graded, 1986 - 297k total graded, and then 1987 484k total graded. PSA's pop report tells you when the boom happened. Especially when you look at he much maligned 1988 sets which only has 162k total graded cards. Why? Because people knew they were overprinted and worthless. That's the beginning of the Junk Wax era, not 1985 nor 1986. That Ripken, an extremely popular HOFer, has only been graded 1,418 times by PSA. Comparitively, the 1987 Topps Barry Bonds RC has been graded 20,967 times. Heck the Mcgwire has been graded 16,721 times and the 87 Topps Rafael Palmeiro has been graded 5,659 by PSA. And a 1984 Topps Don Mattingly Rookie card should never be included in "Junk Wax Era" lists. There's 5 times as many gem mint 10 Mike Trout Topps Update Rookie cards as there are 84 Topps Donnie Baseball rookies.
