One time my team was taking bp with softballs for fun. This one kid hit the ball so far it went over the trees in dead center. Dead center was 400ft. Keep in mind he was held back a year and he was an absolute UNIT.

The fields are smaller than baseball fields because the ball is bigger and is harder to hit a longer distance. Baseballs are lighter and fly very far. Softballs are the exact opposite, so basically, it is about equal in how difficult it is to hit a baseball out of a baseball field and a softball out of a softball field
