TOP 15 MONSTERS || Trento-Bondone HillClimb 2023

The longest Hillclimb in Europe, it´s the mythic Trento-Bondone, this year counting for the Italian HillClimb championship and boasting a fantastic entrylist to tackle the gragantuan 17.3Km track. With plenty of GT3 machinery, Hayabusa V8 swapped Monsters, Turbo beasts and the return of a Judd V8 screamer!!

Fabia R5 prove driver skill is more important than HP under hood. But that sound of Judd 4.0L V8 in 10.000Rpm! Ear tearing. Also i love how GT3 cars prove how fast Real Race cars are instead of garage tuned ones.

Jeez I almost forgot just how incredible the Z4 GT3 sounds. It’s a long way from it’s glory days in motor racing, but thankfully hillclimb keeps it alive and really puts the car through its paces. That V8 sound is absolutely brutal

Trento-Bondone is by far the longest Hillclimb in Europe, over 17.3 km ;)

It's basically the European counterpart to Pikes Peak as far as I can tell. It's even just as spectacular to _look at._

I have raced both Pikes Peak and Trento and must say it depends on your car which is nicer from the driving experience it self. Pikes Peak obviously takes you much higher and thinner air, but is also much wider faster road and unless you have tons of power it feels like highway. Ok as an achievement to see the finish line with what ever time is quite an accomplishment, but to attack and try make a time needs purpose build machine. Trento on the other hand is twistier and does not hurt low power n/a cars so much. So you can see cars like Manuel Dondi’s Fiat x1/9 really high on the results. I personally like Trento more for that reason. If ever going back to Pikes Peak for a fast time will need a different car. Both are unique in their own way. We would also have some roads in Europe to go even higher and be even more extreme than Trento, too bad there are no races in these roads..

Lol the standard Skoda Fabia R5 was faster than the + by quite a margin, show how much of the climb is on the willingness of the driver to push the car to the limit

Both Zanolli and Nones are local drivers with insane knowledge of the road used. That makes an immense difference on a 17.3km hillclimb ;)

Incroyable c'est Skoda Fabia R5 pour 290 CV pour 1290 kg elle tienne des voitures avec plus de 600 CV pour moins de 1200 kg juste incroyable l'agilité de ces voiture sa me motive de me faire une petit saxo vts 2l 16s de 250 CV pour 900 kg j'ai hâte de faire ce projet ❤. idéal pour commencer et ce faire plaisir en même temps sur route ouverte pour cruiser et sur route fermé pour arracher le bitume 🇫🇷👊

Damn such a sick line up if cars, no wonder you had to do a top 15. I thought the 4c with the judd was the best sounding car but that z4 has me conflicted. The Judd probably sounds better in person.

TCRs, R5s and GT3s are usually pretty fast with less power to weight than a lot of these frankenbuilds. Might have to do with a wider powerband. Or is it superior handling? Or do you just need enough power and is more not always useful? I am also wondering what's the cheapest way to have a top 10 car.

The RS3 LMS is a TCR unit, they are tied down to those regulations ;)

Idk how these guys like drive this track... I tried it in assetto corsa and i feel sick after it.. I used georgs 134 judd and got a 10:59.023 and yes i crashed several times and had many borderline moments🤣.. Btw that time is in no way accurate at all so don't compare it to these times 👍
