same. either the game has too much story in between the gameplay that it pulls you out of the experience, or it’s just straight jump scares back to back which isn’t scary but annoying. Id argue that Resident Evil 4 is that one game.

The only few but best recommendations I can give are - From The Darkness, Welcome To Kowloon, 9 Childs Street, MADiSON, Visage, or The Evil Within 1+2… 🤷‍♂️ If none of those do anything for you, then you either don’t like horror or you are too picky.

If they do it right that game is gonna be HORRIFYINGLY hard. every sound is gonna drive your anxiety through the roof. and when you can't see the monster but hear it nearby it will be a hundred times worse.

I'm of two minds, do I want it to be a co-op or single player. single would be bother easier and harder if you get hurt in game. but a co-op would open it up to getting you in trouble if someone else makes a sound XD the game looks terrifying though either way.

Meh, these are nothing but jump scares, I want something that truly terrifies and scares the sh*t out of me. I'm an Old School horror junkie, these games while not bad, are too unoriginal and feels the same no matter what it is. Hell, L4D and Dead Island are better than these. If any of you remember playing Constantine, that was better.
