You should definitely check Siam Park in Tenerife, Spain. It has one of the best theming out there and its slides lineup is second to none. It has been voted the best water park in the world for 9 years in a row according to Tripadvisor.

I will have to disagree about Volcano Bays Tapu Tapu. It should be at ALL waterparks. Why bake in the sun on a slow moving slide tower when you can enjoy the rest of a park.

I remember as a kid thinking it was so cool that Mountain Creek had 3 tube slides carved into the mountain. Also watching my father come down one of the slides with the tube on top of him and not the other way around. He and water parks did not seem to get along.

Have you heard of the Calypso waterpark near Ottawa, Ontario? It's well themed, has the largest wave pool in Canada, and has a decent (albeit somewhat lacking a standout) slide lineup. Also two lazy rivers lmao. One of them features a dark ride section and a wave machine.

As a former local I was lucky enough to have experienced Action Park when I was a kid in the late 90s. I was surprised to see Mountain Creek Water Park on a list with Disney size parks because to me it always seemed like local park.

I remember Action Park the best going down the slide into some jagged rock at the end. The old Alpine slide was the best with no brakes.

@@cookie49ers Which slide had the jagged rocks? I remember cold deep pools at the ends of them. Edit: by pools I mean "natural" pools not the concrete kind, there were rocks at the walls but they were smooth.

I’ve only been to water country on this list but it’s our favorite. Been to aquatica Orlando adventure island and some of the six flags ones. Water country has tons to do, and it’s very shady. Lines are very busy

I certainly haven't been to as many water parks as you have (no international water parks and somehow nothing in Wisconsin Dells.) That said, I think you'll really like Schlitterbahn in New Braunfels. It's very weird because of the way it is split up so you pass residential houses going from one side to the other. And some of the older slides use river water and it's a bit of a free for all. But it is really cool. I'm sure you'll like it. I really want to make it to the UAE for water parks and dry parks. It looks so over the top in so many ways.

I definitely think I'd like Schlitterbahn. I typically avoid Texas in the summer and visit those parks in the winter or spring.

@@CanobieCoaster I get what you mean. When I was in the Army we did a lot of training in Texas and summer was a favorite time for it. Fortunately, I managed to get away from time to time so I'd take the opportunity to visit parks and other fun stuff. Got to visit Schlitterbahn in New Braunfels. The main thing I need to visit is ZDTs. Some day.

if you've never been to raging waters la id highly reccomend it! they have speed body slides that are my favorite ive ever experienced. One in particular has a triple down with excellent airtime

My personal favorite waterpark is Atlantis Bahamas. Def have been to parks with better slide lineups including a lot on this list but the slide collection+unreal atmosphere and views makes it my favorite. Atlantis Dubai looks way better tho which shows how good that one is.

You definitely need to visit Alpamare in Pfäffikon, Switzerland, some of the slides there are insane, it is the best Waterpark in Switzerland in my opinion. Although I would need to visit Säntis Park because that one is allegedly even better.

My favorite Water Park is Caribe Bay in Jesolo, Italy. It combines some great waterslides with amazing theming. I would absolouteley recommend it for anyone. I give Caribe bay an extra point for that the employees can all speak very good english.

I'm surprised former "Traction" Park is on the list. Too bad there weren't any in Ontario -- I'd like to get some variety out of my local waterparks. Sounds like they have the right idea in Alberta -- indoor parks are the way to go in Canada. I hope the ones in Abu Dabai and Dubai use salt water from the sea. Otherwise it's an environmental catastrophe in a desert environment like theirs.
