As a Red Sox fan, I obviously hate the New York Yankees but I also hate it when our fans chant " Yankees suck, Yankees suck". Back in early July, Tanner Houck was pitching a gem in the 5th or 6th, the chants came out, then Houck got hit on a comebacker. It fractured his face, he went on the IR and the Red Sox who were in wildcard contention, fell off a cliff

Nice video Erik… I grew up in the Willie Mays era he was my hero. He always touched third base when coming in from centerfield. At least at candlestick. I also noticed if he got stranded on base, it was usually Hal Lanier, who brought him his mitt when returning to centerfield. Not sure if these were actual superstitions… but as a Baseball Crazy kid just something I remember.

I’m right with ya on #15. Along those same lines, I was bowling in a tournament recently and one of the best bowlers there was in the 8th frame with a perfect game going. Everyone knew what he was on the verge of but nobody made that fact obvious. We didn’t start cheering or being oddly quiet. We just carried as nothing was different, until the 12th roll and we went ape shit crazy when he got that final strike and his 300 PT game. No one dared ruin his concentration and his perfect game. Damn right, don’t mention the no-hitter.

I personally believe they need to get rid of all these extra uniforms. It just reeks of greed. It turns fans off. Every team should have a special uniform for, say the 4th of July and a major Canadian holiday but that's it. But for the most part every team should have a home and road uniform and that's it.
