@leafbelly5 жыл бұрын
It's just an abuse of the system. He could actually play part of it, but if UMG flags it, KZbin will take it down until it can be ruled "fair use," which it undoubtedly would be ruled. However, I don't blame Rick for not wanting to go through all of that. So, in a way, you can blame KZbin.

@HollowGolem5 жыл бұрын
@@lukeschannel2983 it's because the sheer volume of content on KZbin prevents actual intelligent analysis of the context of every piece of use. So instead they use a computer algorithm to just find instances of copyrighted audio or video and auto flag. Basically, they're using a better-safe-than-sorry technique so they don't get sued by the record labels and individual users don't have as much muscle to push them around and actually get the laws enforced as they should be.

@@SaharaReads again, I agree with the sentiment, but as you know, since you are learning it. There really is no "intro". The beginning is the meat of the song I have a home studio, when I learned NGBA I sooo wanted to buy an acousticl bass and track that song the trick to it is getting the drone bass line down on guitar. Kind of like Dust in the Wind. So many guitar players ignore the drone bass line.

There seems to be a part of story about bands taking down videos that I am missing. Sure, I get that the use of material thatbis copyrighted is how the owners of that copyright makes money. But technology has created more and better ways to get music out for people to hear and appreciate it. Since online music began, there has been bitching from some artists about how they are being unfairly taken from. What I have yet to hear from say, Don Henley, is what do you want? What would make take for you to be alright with Rick Beato to strum a couple chords or play a few licks from a song that made you wealthier than most people could ever dream? Its not like this channel uses original recording or copyrighted material. If Mr. Henley who seems to be the guy most out in front on this, why is it that he carries on about being taken from, and the only solution is to stop You Tube and the like from doing this. Certainly there must be an option besides scorched earth he could propose and not wreck things. Maybe not. But someone should definately ask him. Put him on the spot. What do you want? I saw a documentary one time where David Geffin called him simply a malcontent. He should want his music celebrated. The alternative is his work will become less and less heard. If his attitude is pay me or bite me....that should be exposed as well.

@@MrJuuberi Actually there could be a scientific objective list. See, the mind can only process so many vibrations at a time therefor some of the most simple melodies can release the most dopamine compared to someone trying to cram a bunch of notes together. So yes, it's completely measurable to someone who has the time. I don't expect someone who uses the word idiot to understand, maybe you should read a neurology book sometime.

Alex Defatte the genius behind “the importance of saying no,” which confuses the medulla oblongata’s function in the brain and the basics behind our body’s’ defense mechanisms, before tying them haphazardly to the very voluntary decisions like “saying no”. You’re underestimating how the brain can understand music by a long shot. There’s a point where notes are indistinguishable, but that point certainly isn’t reached by this one guitar on one track. Shits dumb. But to end on a brighter note, you really should do another cover of that “angel” song you worked on a while back. I know this is way off track, but that was way better than that “I’d die for you” or whatever it’s called song. “Angel” deserves way more appreciation. Also, you should really get to recording separate audio tracks together through GarageBand, Ableton, or whatever daw in order to make your stuff shine. You have really good ideas sometimes, but it’s just unbearable to hear them through a shitty mic and single guitar. Working with a daw and actually sitting down and producing something could let you tweak your sounds and make everything from your vocals to your drums sound 10x better. I hope I can hear a fully mastered version of angel one day.

Uhm...I actually find that riff is easier to play than some of the others...but is pretty much at the top in terms of being awesome. The hardest lick IMO was Roundabout, and Beato had to splice takes in the video to make the transition sound right, which is the trickiest part of the thing, and the part I have yet to get right myself - lol. The other hard one for me is Salisbury Hill, but maybe now I've seen Rick do it I might have better luck. Thanks Rick!

For all his wealth of knowledge of theory, music production, etc, let it also be said that Rick is one heck of a guitar player.
