The Azir play should be enshrined as the new iconic Faker play. Whereas he inted into turret after killing Ryu with Zed, he led the team to a win and singlehandedly ended the series and the golden road then and there with this play . Dashing in from an impossibly far distance, flashing pre-emptively to force Ruler into a terrible situation where either the Flash is predicted (which was what happened) or he dies from soldiers, placing a turret to cut off enemy retreat, then walling right where Oner was going to magnet storm.

Not tryna bash WBG. But aren't they too easy on that finals. They're literally underperforming or was that the gap was just that too much between T1 and WBG. It's sad to see that finals ain't that hype. It was to be honest, was just overhyped but there was nothing in it. There were too many mistakes on T1 already, yet WBG failed to comeback from that. At that moment, there's just a huge difference between them. Sadly there weren't any good plays in the finals that much compared to T1 vs JDG semi.

It’s a combination of T1 being that good and WBG being a coinflip team. You can’t deny some of the great plays T1 had in the finals, Zeus on Yone in the drake pit, for example. But also, Weibo is too coinflip at the same time. TheShy playing a perfect dive in game 2, only to walk back into the Gwen who had W up was int. He then went bot and gave Draven a kill. Crisp on bard? That Faker Akali play doesn’t happen if Crisp doesn’t ult and immune him from the Kennen and Azir ults. But from the JDG series, you already know that T1 was a cut above the LPL

WBG's shining light was TheShy as shown when he crushed one of the best tops in the tournament in BIN Zeus not only played very well but had counter pick in all three games WBG's mid/ botside could not match T1 despite counter picking, I feel like the final was a story of WBG trying to cover their weaknesses rather than play to their strengths

It was the number 1 play since JDG is about to win the game. They have baron and they have the momentum going for them. The impact of the play was what made it number 1 as they managed to turn what was an almost sure loss to a win just from one opportunity. Also reminded a lot of people Prime T1 from before which was known for Teamfighting and turning things around with just 1 play.

I mean if we're talking about level of difficulty, then Gumayusi's 1v2 outplay should be higher. I believe this list also weighs the impact on the game, and Faker's play pretty much got them the ace and a win in a losing game, defined the series and pretty much sealed the tournament. But yes Oner's play was important as well.

It is indeed a hard choice between Faker and Oner's play. I narrowly chose Faker's Azir play as T1 was about to lose the whole game and potentially the whole series. What was different was that he chose to pick on Ruler who made him lose 2017 finals so there was history there too. Also if you listen closely as Faker dashes towards Ruler, Azir said "Trust in me" which is just chills and properly closed the serious out.
