A lot of the ones that bounce over like three walls are calculated with slight luck involved to actually go in, hitting a corner of the middle pocket and having the ball go in because of it is sheer dumb luck

@@ChesterRGC, the other player now has to hit the white ball in such a way that the first ball it touches is a red one. If he fails, it's a four point penalty (or more, depending on what it touches first), the balls are put back, and he tries again until either he succeeds or he concedes. I'm not sure there's even space to get past the pink.

I think, sometimes when a player can swerve the hidden cue ball to hit a target ball that he can measure to pot it in the pocket, that's not a fluke, that's a pro. Once again, in a certain position he can plan it, especially if the target ball is not too far away from the pocket or it's a bit easy to get in.

You haven't watched or played Snooker before if you think those were deliberate. In fact, you haven't even watched this video properly because in the first and third clip you mentioned, you can see Wilson and Gilbert put their hands up to apologize for the flukes. All three shots are just them attempting to escape from Snookers, hit the ball and get it safe.

I would love to see what happened to the snooker at 7:00. How does that work out? It's not legal to jump a ball in order to pass another, right? So if it's impossible to hit, then it can't be a miss. Can use then take the six point penalty and put the pink whereever you want? In that situation where the snooker is impossible to escape, you simply ignore the ball that has snookered you and play the red as if it wasn't there. You must play at an appropriate pace to hit the red should the in this case pink not be there and if you do that then it is a foul but not a miss
