It is unknown to what Emergency they were responding to. Often though, they get dispatched to Presidential Helicopter Landings in front of the White House.

Yes, the DCFD has one "Air Crash Tender", called Foam Unit 2. Usually, the Crash Tender responds to Emergencies together with the DCFD Foam Unit Task Force (Foam Unit 1, Foam Unit 2, Engine 13, and Twin Agent Unit 1). I have filmed the DCFD Foam Unit Task Force twice, the Link is in the Description.

British sirens are supplied by Whelen, which is based in the USA. For a British siren you're looking at Premier Hazard models :)
