Jackie has won the Hong Kong Film Awards' Best Action Choreography (established in 1983) a record of 10 times. Either on his own, w/ his stunt team, or w/ other choreographers. The films were Project A, Police Story, Project A 2, Police Story 2, Miracles, Drunken Master 2, Rumble in the Bronx, Who Am I, The Accidental Spy, & Chinese Zodiac. Police Story 4: First Strike also won but Stanley Tong was the credited choreographer.

The light fixture stunt has to be the most dangerous one Jackie Chan ever did.
@simplyecksplicit6 ай бұрын
iirc he got really hospitalized for awhile for that part.
@rohitroy91826 ай бұрын
Nah, the most dangerous one was from Armor of God. "Far and away the most serious injury of his career, Chan was on death's doorstep after this stunt went horribly wrong. The scene called for him to jump from a wall to a tree; and he pulled it off easily on the very first try. Unfortunately, ever the perfectionist, Chan insisted on a second take - which is when his luck gave out. His hands slipped on a branch and he fell between 20-40 feet to the ground. Chan’s head hit a rock, resulting in a fractured skull, a brain hemorrhage and some hearing loss in one ear. Incredibly, he managed to survive, though he still has a plug in his skull, a constant reminder of his brush with death."

@@treseancann1261 My favorite part was I think in the same scene. Jackie was trying to keep one of the gang members from picking up a bottle to use in the fight. There were several bottles to choose from, but every time the gang member tried to pick one up, Jackie's character would hold it down. The gang member tries to pick a different one up, Jackie holds that one down too. In the movie, they do this whole routine very fast. Can you imagine how many times they had to practice that before they were able to do it lightning fast?!? And it looked amazing!! 👏👏👏

So Drunken Master 2 is my favourite film of all time but the fights against Benny the Jet should easily take the top spot. Police Story shouldn't be on this list at all. HOWEVER, I would rate Police Story alongside Die Hard if a top 20 Action Movies list were to be made. Also, while it wasn't a long fight, in Dragons Forever there's a three-way fight between Jackie Chan & his real life friends Samo Hung & Yuen Biao that I remember being a fun fight to watch. The ladder fight in First Strike is gold. The Drunken Master 2 has MULTIPLE fights that could easily make this list. Whilst the final battle is epic, the market brawl is equally as dope. Then there's the train fight which is scary to watch because they're in an enclosed space wielding weapons like bruh...that shit will take your eye out if you're not careful... Jackie Chan is the best & Die Hard is the greatest Action film of all time(^). Dragons Forever is a classic & Drunken Master 2 is the best martial arts film of all time.
