Santal 33 were dupe to death and seems like everybody is wearing it especially in big cities. But I really appreciate this creation and remember the day I first tried it. I still found myself reaching for it and love it especially if I want to feel grounded and still smelling good.

Santal 33 smell weird to me, like inner tube tyre in the first 30 mins. But after 2hr.. I was like wow 🤩 . No wonder this perfume is hype.

I just went to Le Labo in Portland. It was a small space and they did not have the full collection but I did buy Thé Matcha 26, Ylang 49, Tonka 25, Patchouli 24, Labdanum 18 & Vetiver 46. (They are in order of my personal ranking.)

I use Another 13 to layer/strengthen other fragrances. I also use Secretions to layer as well (it makes everything smell sexier). I love The Noir, Rose 31 and Bergamot. I am hunting Ylang and Lys. I appreciate the underlying intellectual aesthetic in this brand. These fragrances make you think even as you stimulate your senses.

Thé Matcha 26 is the only one I own and the only one I like oddly enough. On me it’s more than a skin scent. Definitely creates a personal scent bubble that puts me into a meditation mode, which I find really comforting. Every time I wear it and give someone a hug, I always get an immediate “mmmm you smell so good” and they ask what scent I’m wearing.

Great list! I’ve sampled many and have owned Rose in the past (let it go due to performance issues). Bergamote is the only one I own currently, and, even though it’s pricey for a citrus, it is completely worth it. Absolute masterpiece. I’ve never smelt a better fresh fragrance. I’d love a bottle of The Noir and possibly mousse de chene or tabac.

I love Vanille 44 so good, also Limette 37 and Cedrat 37 some of my fav cities. And don’t get me started on wearing them together the vanilla and the citrus from either of those mixed is phenomenal. Also, I love Thé Matcha, but it doesn’t last. I would bathe in Thé Matcha if they ever made it into a perfume oil. ❤

I wasn’t surprised at all by which one didn’t make the list, but I was a little surprised by your #1 pick, although I do really like the Bergamot 22. I haven’t tried many of the city exclusives, but now I do want to track down the Dallas one, since that’s where I live. From the non-exclusive line, I’d probably put Rose 31 at the top of my list.

I have thé matcha and i love the sutbleness it offers. feels like a warm hug. I find that often very subtle perfumes are quite one noted, and find this to still be interesting after a few hours

Your ranking is pretty spot on because my personal top 3 picks are The Noir 29, Benjoin 19 (also love Musc 25 but prefer Benjoin 19 more!) and Aldehyde 44 :) I do own the samples for The Noir 29, Gaiac 10 and Matcha 26 (would love to see how this compares with Matcha Meditation which is my fave from Maison Margiela Replica alongside Lazy Sunday Morning), and will definitely look into owning a full bottle of The Noir 29 and Benjoin 19 next year.

I gave Thé Noir to my Dad as I think it’s lovely but strong so better on him, and Lys 41 to my mum as the Lilly scent will be lovely on her. I am now interested in the Dallas scent you show Aldehyde 44 and Baie.

Amazing video! I haven't tried many of them but I really love Labdanum 18. I am a huge powder and Maurice Roucel fan. The only bottle I ever had from Le Labo was Fleur d'Oranger. It was a juicy and thirst quenching kind of fragrance.

yes Another 13 is so good. It used to be the Paris based Colette store exclusive but when that store closed it was released everywhere. There are also 3 or 4 more that were exclusives but those got axed.

I believe these fragrances have to be tried on skin and they seem to radiate from within. That is probably due to the high oil content. I love Another 13, Tonka 25 and Matcha 26. 😊

Patchouli 24 is my absolute favorite from this house, Oud 27 second, and Poivre 23 third (but not worth its price tag). Actually none if the city exclusives are worth their price tag in my humble opinion

Thank you for your list. I’m surprised musc is so high! I’ll need to try it again. Does it feel LA to you? Another 13 and ylang are my favourites. I’m really starting to dig tabac. Has a fresh type of tobacco I havnt come across often. I think Gaiac suits Japan perfectly, but it is expensive for what it is. The rose shampoo, conditioner and bodywash at the hotel is awesome. Could you do a video on any favourites you have. Maybe your favourite candles as well?

Unfortunately my two favorites are City Exclusives: Tabac 28 and the Amsterdam - Mousse de Chenne. But when they went to $510 for 100ml this year I had to say no on principle. That’s just crazy. More than most Roja, Xerjoff, Lutens etc etc. are there really that many people for whom that is just no big deal? I would think they would sell more and still be quite exclusive for $350-400. I also like Vetiver 46, weirdly as a springtime scent and Santal 33 I do consider a very good fragrance, just played out at this point and no longer exciting to me. Have never ever smelled pickle in it! Lol

#1 has to be Santal 33. That fragrance is the entire reason this brand was bought out by Estée Lauder. Obviously opinions differ on it but it’s still #1, just as #1 for Chanel is No 5

I honestly worry about Thé consistency of le labo …. I mean every bottle is measured and poured by hand. It’s not done in an actual “lab” since it’s in the store or counter in a dept store. It’s going to have a certain degree of variance to its composition and scent.

I was gifted a sample set of most of the main line. I have and love AnOther 13 (my signature scent - and a compliment monster) and also received Santal 33 as a gift but I prefer other sandalwoods. I have not tried them all yet, but I had hoped to love Thé Matcha and did not at all, it was very medicinal and a vetiver bomb on me (I like vetiver but wasn’t expecting to be overwhelmed by it) and got no fig or matcha at all. Orange Blossom is a GREAT scent. It is the best floral in the line. Ambrette 9 was nice but not special and so I would not recommend it. As an ambrette lover that hurts to say. To me Lys felt too mature, and Jasmine was not great - I would recommend many many other Jasmine fragrances over this. I am a Dallas native so I had to get a sample of the Dallas city exclusive even though I do not like aldehydes at all. Patchouli and Thé Noir are ones I need to revisit and I suspect will grow on me a lot. I have tried body products in Rose 31 and Bergamot and they are outstanding scents in that format as well as the perfumes. Rose 31 is incredibly sexy and Betgamot is happy but I get a lot of vetiver and unlike in Thé Matcha I can’t get enough of.

I find this house very "bougie". Overpriced & overrated. However, there are a few that I like. The ones I've tried: Santal 33: I smell cucumber juice more than pickle juice. Either way, I can't stand it. Hard pass for price. Another 13: Mainly iso super. Little woody, little musky. It was very pleasant but overpriced with sitting so close to skin. Unisex, for sure. Patchouli 24: would make a great candle, but I wouldn't wear it. Too smokey, not enough patchouli. Bergamot 22: If i loved lemons, this would be great. This stuff is excellent citrus, but I like similar stuff just as much for price. Noir 29: pleasant relaxing stuff but also has a dark feel. I think this is love or hate frag, but i do think it's best I've smelled from brand.

Possibly the most pretentious perfume brand. I was in the store here, and the lady who ran it wouldn’t let me or anyone smell or touch anything. I can’t imagine paying these prices if I can’t even try something out first. And all these comments about all their offerings being skin scents aren’t encouraging either. After that experience in the store I still don’t own any Le Labo.
