HELL YEAH! U tell em sister! Under pressure(ft. the enigmatic David Bowie R.I.P), break free, somebody to love, radio gaga, bicycle, fat bottom girls, who wants to live forever, and of course probably the most popular top 3(possibly 4) queen hits another one bites the dust, we will rock you (not sure if these 2 are considered the same song or not) we are the champions, and last but CERTAINLY not least Bahamian rhapsody. Songs that will transcend time. The fact that my 15 year old daughter hums Under Pressure at school and corrects the idiotic kids that make fun of her singing Ice Ice Baby she very calmly explains to the kids how a wannabe white rapper (remember the 90s? 😕)stole the music from Queen and David Bowie's single Under Pressure to have a song worth releasing. Even if he hadn't stolen the music (which he did, got sued, and lost 4 million$ full disclosure I'm not 100% sure on the actual amount awarded but I am 100% sure he lost his a** in that case😁) he should have been prosecuted for taking a HELL OF A DAMN GOOD SONG and murdering it into some ridiculous attempt to appear talented. Freddie and David currently have more talent in their left pinky nails than that poser did in his whole body during his entire life and for those living under a rock for the last 3 decades both Freddie Mercury AND David Bowie past away and they STILL have more talent than that thief. 😠

@@laurieerickson5648 YES! Have you seen the interview where vanilla ice tries to say the beat in ice ice baby is not the same in under pressure? It's hilarious, glad he lost in that case
@laurieerickson56482 жыл бұрын
@@amadnakateh I had a few years of music/band classes and later marching and concert band in my formative years. I remember when I first heard vanilla ices version I distinctly recall thinking to myself that there was only like a one Note difference in the chorus. Although in the interest of full disclosure I haven't actually listened too Rice Rice Gravey (sorry couldn't resist 😈) since like 1992/3. On the other hand I think I've listened to Under Pressure easily over 1000 in that time frame. All the kids in our H.S marching band that knew who Queen was got really heated about the whole thing. I just wondered if he outright knowingly stole it, or if MAYBE, just maybe U.P might have been played by his parents at a VERY young age. Perhaps he was only exposed to the song a couple of times then maybe he never heard it again. But that music can find a way to become a distant memory, almost seeming like a memory of dream from many years ago. That melody can surface at different and random times in our lives. What if (obvi it's PROBABLY not what happened with Vanilla) a person walks through life for 35-40 years humming a simple 4 or 5 bars truly believing that music to be an original production of their own mind? When in fact it's a song their daddy played just a couple times when he was 3 years old. Just makes ya wonder doesn't it? Well it Damn sure makes me wonder knowing what our brains are capable of and especially NOT knowing what our brains are capable of. 👀

I love Dolly Parton's reaction to Whitney Houston singing her hit song, _“I Will Always Love You.”_ *_“They asked me if they could use it_* [for a remake and for the film, _'The Bodyguard']_ *_and I forgot about it until I was driving home and I heard this voice come on the radio. I knew it was something, but it didn’t register. I thought, ‘What is that? I know what that is,’ and then all of a sudden she starts that… when she goes into the ‘I will always love you’ part--honest-to-goodness, I almost wrecked! I had to pull over and listen to it! But it was the most overwhelming feeling that little song of mine could be done so beautifully, so big, so overwhelming, that I really almost just heart attack right there! I’ll never forget it.”_* I thought that was such a marvelous compliment to Whitney! Dolly has always been gracious and giving, and it made her so proud that Whitney remade her "little song", and that she did it so perfectly. I'm sure the royalties didn't hurt, lol, but she probably gave most of it away or started another charity with it, to be honest! She is a beautiful person. The world truly lost a legend when it lost Whitney.. and many others on this list, as well. ~Peace!

Ok...I've watched you for years and have NEVER called you out. But you brought Dimash into it, that arrangement of Sinful Passion could NOT be song by anyone but Dimash, not even close. He starts the song in a basement baritone from a whisper to power, does his operatic falsetto finishing with a whistle ala Mariah. Then proceeds to do a style I have yet to see a western singer even try as he moves up his range again and then does an acrobatic run up and down the scales in a 3 octave range on one 30 sec breath to finish. To anyone that has not heard Dimash listen to this song and SOS I promise your mind will be blown. He is by far the best singer/performer in the world now and he's only 26. Also he's an incredible human being not an egotistical bone in his body. He is a once in generations talent and I'm not easily amused.

Love On Top is one of the most difficult songs to sing! There are not that many vocalist who can modulate four times and hit a high head voice four different times in four different octaves. Y’all continuously keep ignoring that song

Surprised she didn't mention that high note he hit in that song. For me, that's one of the ways that I judge how well someone has done trying to cover that song - if they can smoothly hit that high note.

I'm a bit surprised that there was no mention of Guns N' Roses, even in the honorable mentions. Especially since Axl has such a unique voice and is the only professional singer with a wider vocal range than Mariah Carey.
@JasminGardenia3 жыл бұрын
They have really an awesome range, but there are are actually many professional singers with a bigger range than Mariah Carey and Axl Rose, e.g. Devin Townsend, Corey Taylor, Dimash, Mike Patton, Adam Lopez, Nina Hagen and Nicola Sedda

Also I knew this wouldn’t be one even as a mention because it ain’t mainstream enough, but has anyone here ever heard Showbiz or Muscle Musuem by muse? Those are some ridiculous vocal performances. Sometimes you can’t tell if it’s the guitar squealing or just his voice, and usually it’s the latter. I think the highest note in it is G#5 off memory (Showbiz) and even though he’s in his forties he can hit still hit that note nowadays. Not hugely impressive compared to other high singers but amazing tone and technique, plus he also writes his music and is both an insane guitarist and pianist.
@Jade-sc7ne3 жыл бұрын
@ 21.18 you mentioned Dimash, my heart nearly stopped beating, I was so happy and emotional as well that you have noticed him as a singer with a unique voice. Not many people are aware of this Kazak singer, but he will surprise you with his vocal range. He is one of the most research singer and a lot of the musical coach loves reacting to his singing. Dimash can sing in 12 different languages and different genres of music as well, opera, jazz, contemporary, folklore etc.

Dimash has a huge number of songs that should be at the top of this list. Not to denigrate any of the choices, but if the standard is pure difficulty I think we could limit the choices to just his catalog and get a good list. Sinful Passion is certainly a good choice, but is it even his hardest song to sing? Total Eclipse of the Heart over Diva Dance? SOS? Opera 2? Please.

Emily West delivered a stunning jazz cover of Sia's CHANDELIER on AGT. Kevin Simm also did great male cover on the voice. Serena Onassis was amazing with her rendition of O Holy Night, she finds no difficulty with delivering perfect whistle notes. Most of the songs chosen in this video are about high notes. I think the most difficult songs are the ones that require a wide range of notes and the transition between them.

Agreed, and she's not the only one, sad that these are only mainstream songs that everybody knows, it labels them as "technically" the best singers in the world. They're all really good, but they're not the 20 best singers in the world. Title is deceptive as it doesn't take all music into account, only mainstream mega hits.
