That art museum steps scene is still iconic. There’s a 24 hour fundraising event there every year and crazy runners like myself have run the steps ourselves. There’s also a race that follows the route Rockie took in that movie. And I’m very happy a Star Wars scene made it on here. How could it not? That trench run and death star destruction was freaking epic! They repeated the filming style in Mando s2 when he was fleeing the new republic x wings in chapter 10.

The opening of Jaws was very iconic the mood the music, the fear for the girl being dragged side to side in the water with her piercing screams, she was very convincing, plus the way the cinematographer made the scene look like the early hours of the morning but realistically it was actually day time but the lens was shaded to look dark

I am surprised that many scenes didn't make it or be included in honorable mentions -- the birth of the alien in Alien (1979), Harold Lloyd climbing up the building in Safety Last (1923), Gary Cooper's shoot out in High Noon (1952) -- are three that come to mind. This is a great list. No doubt about that. However, if I had to pick a scene that's missing from this list, it's the State Room scene in the 1935 Marx Brothers classic "A Night At The Opera." It was quite simply one of the funniest scenes ever filmed. If you haven't seen it (or heard of it), I highly encourage you to watch it.
