Seeing the Harry Potter moment at the beginning...I appreciate how iconic the movie was...it pretty much did everything justice. That being said, in the book, he has a final moment of irony where he reveals the elder wand is loyal to him, the same way his wand persistently refuses to let him die. It makes that final moment where a bit of luck, the same thing that kept him alive in the first book, that much more impactful
@JQZ162 жыл бұрын
Tbh the ending scene in PT.2 was so disappointing imo. In the books Voldemort fights Kingsley, McGonnagal and Slughorn at the same time then Harry and him square off and Harry literally tells him that’s he’s lost and he is the true wielder of the Elder Wand and he feels sorry for him. So much more impactful. And in the book it happens in the great hall in front of everyone! I thought it was lame that he killed him with no one watching in the courtyard lol. I will say overall was very happy with the movies but the ending was a bummer to me just my opinion tho 🤷🏻♂️

I'm glad Godzilla at least got an honorable mention. His introduction airport scene in 2014 and his fight with Ghidorah were truly epic, especially when he went into nuclear meltdown.

You guys dropped the ball here, no bicycle chase sequence from E.T.? Truly epic and sweeping, one of cinemas most iconic sequences and one of Spielberg’s most memorable moments in his career
@WheresWaldo05 Жыл бұрын
Hell yeah. Or even last sequence in whiplash. Any epic scene/moment needs an epic score also. Which is why in jurassic park the trex scene is not it. But rather the first scene of dr. Grant and elle seeing the dinosaurs with the score playing and hammond uttering "WELCOME... TO JURASSIC PARK!"

This might just me, but I've always been a sucker for monster movies, and one of my all-time favorites was Pacific Rim. I was a little bit heartbroken when not even one of the (very epic) scenes made it to the list, but on the other hand, I can totally understand why the movies on this list are there. Great vid, and keep up the good work!

A good list, to be sure, but one moment that I feel should have been included is from 1978's "Superman", when Clark Kent changes into Superman and rescues Lois Lane from plunging to the street below, (and grabbing the helicopter along the way). The setup, the music, the nod to an older, comic strip instance of how he changed when looking at a "modern" phone booth, the crowd's reactions, and of course, his iconic response when asked "Who are you?" "A friend." I can tell you first-hand, the theatre went nuts. The tagline for this film was "You'll believe a man can fly." And we did.
