technologies advance so it's easier to do spectacular dunks than it was 30-40 years ago. Dr J. made the dunking mainstream. Him and few others revolutionized the dunking in the league years ago, have to include them in top 20, my priority was not only putting 20 dunkers who did the most spectacular dunks, but also players that took the most importing part in nba dunking history. There are some in the list I could change but I'm happy with it, plenty of def great dunkers outside top 20.

Dr J. definitely deserves being #4. Dr J. & David Thompson revolutionized the NBA and dunking. Remember in their day doing showoff type dunks in games was frowned upon. It was just a different mentality and era. Dean Smith taught his players like that as well, when MJ did his cradle dunk his freshman year at Maryland his main concern was embarrassing Maryland. The stuff Dr J. did in the ABA took a long time for it to be accepted in the NBA but it paved the way for MJ, Nique, etc.

I only wanted to include nba material, no international tournaments, nothing like that, obviously that's his best dunk, but the ending from dunk contest and kenny smith saying "it's over" is a great way to finish the video also.

And I am happy to see VC at No.1:) Some thoughts: don't think D.Wade should be on there, as great as a player he is, his dunking doesn't really stand out, I think even Josh Smith is better than him. And Larry Lance probably should be on the list. Also J.Rich Ranks a bit too low, no way LeBron can rank higher than him, no way, and probably not even Kobe.

If I had to re-do the list I would put him in. The Phoenix Suns Green is doing amazing things. But before he was a bench warmer. I fukked it up with the list because there shouldn't be KG in there, and it depends how you look at the Shaq, no style but biggest power out them all. Guys like Ricky Davis, Josh Smith, Desmond Mason, Stromile Swift could very well be in the top 20 too.

Pretty good list actually. Of course, I could change one thing here and there, but this is always about opinions. Anyway, I would put Griffin over Lebron. He did won the dunk contest on his own, and has better dunks and highlights then Lebron. I would put him over Kobe too probably. Also, Gerald Green and Spud Webb deserved a nomination in the top 20 IMO

Good list, even though I would change some things: - I would put MJ over Nique. While Nique was incredible, he was a pure 2 feet jumper, he just was not good off 1 foot (MJ could use both even though he liked to jump more of 1 feet) and that's why that kind of limited him, and that is why he mainly did windmills and all dunks close to the basket. VC is number one though, his 2000 dunk contest performance closed that discussion for me until someone puts up such similar show (even though MJ, Nique or Kemp were equally good in game dunkers). - Blake>Kobe and Lebron dunking wise. As far as I am not a great Blake fan, the man did won a dunk contest with a nice output, while Lebron never went to one and Kobe's performance on his participation is to forget, to say the least. - At this point I would put Gerald Green at least in the top 20, but mostly in the top 10

I put green outside the top 20 because he was a trash player, because this was before the season, the phoenix season showed the major improvement, he should be in the top 20 if I had to remake this again. it's arguable with blake, still a young player and both kobe and james made outstanding in game dunks in their careers. MJ and Nique is debatable, I am currently working on nique top 100 dunks of all time video. you might check if you've seen it all, he threw down the hardest in the 80s, the power, extension and a good amount of hangtime.
