The death of the big Arab guy with the scimitar, near the middle of the movie was hilarious. That scene was concocted by Spielberg and Harrison Ford because Ford had come down with dysentery and was sicker than hell. He suggested to Spielberg that he, just, pull out his gun and shoot the guy. That was the reason for the disgusted look on his face.

DCEU Zod's death was controversial. MCU Thanos' death was satisfying.
@Diablo-xx9gx3 жыл бұрын
I wonder why Zod's death was so controversial at times, but forget, been a while but Zod and two other who served under him were killed by Superman by Kryptonite, Excuted. Reason was in the original comic they had escaped the phantom zone landed on another earth with a different colored sun, still were more powerful then the people of the planet. Ruled with a iron fist then got bored and killed every single being on the planet for amusement. Was discovered before Krypton was destroyed the three had been sentenced to be excuted, Super carried it out. What other choice, he takes them back to earth to stand trail sorry may not work due to laws and loop holes, two yellow sun bad very bad VERY BAD!! Before he killed them he said Quote. you are worse then Nazis.
@NobodyC133 жыл бұрын
Zod's death was controversial because whatever thought experiment was to be served through this story thread, Superman was not the appropriate character to do it. Thanos' death was satisfying because how else can one feel towards retribution at a man who committed genocide on a cosmic scale under the delusion of doing it for the Greater Good. (The Greater Good!) In fact, Thanos died twice in Endgame because ThanosPrime was already a weak and broken man after finishing his goal, so his quick end wasn't much of a catharsis. They brought 2014-Thanos to the main timeline because he was in his physical prime and to reveal that his "good intentions" were actually a mask for his arrogance, megalomania, and aspirations to be worshipped as a god, seeing him go down is much more satisfying.

Superman killing Zod wasn't something very dramatic but one of the best moments of the movie where Superman had to break his own codes and morals to save the race which in reality doesn't deserve Superman but need him. But on the other hand, Superman loves mankind so much that he thinks they deserve him and need him. In Zack Snyder's Justice League, Wonder Woman killing Steppenwolf shows *only a God can kill a god* .

Yeah if I was a hero, I prefer kill the villain and have that failure that I killed someone but the family is safe over not killing him and the family dying because I couldn’t save them.

I just realized when Superman was trying to stop zod from zapping those people, heat ray goes wherever you look. Holding his head wouldn’t stop him from moving his eyes lol

I’m glad ‘The Professional’s’ end death was added. It always has stuck with me as being dramatic and a great climax to the movie itself. I remember when I saw it the first time I was, excuse the pun, *blown away* by it.
