In my opinion when it comes to Hacivat the pineapple is more prevalent in the dry down, it’s the grapefruit I smell more in the initial spray it’s a weird fragrance though sometimes I like the grapefruit sometimes I don’t but I get anosmic with hacivat after dry down I tried it for the first time in 50 degree weather though it’s starting to get up in the 70s so I’m see how it does then

Gambit is definitely much much much higher on my list. Don't get me wrong there are many patchouli greats. I get the cloves and cardimom, and I love the geranium and mimosa in th heart with the lavender.... But Carlos Vinals made the scent with literally two notes in mind being Petitgrain and Patchouli. The actual fragrance breakdown in the weights heavily emphasizes the patchouli... its just extraordinarily well blended. It is clean, it reminds me of a younger mans Bois du Portugal (even though that doesn't have patchoili) but its such a well balanced and classy scent. It is hard to say that it plays a supporting role in it. It's odd because on the website it says "a hint of patchouli" because a lot of people are turned off from it, but if you watch his interview about making the fragrance that is what he focuses on, the double P's. YSL Tuxedo is still not in my collection and its killing me. Also that PdM is RARE to find.

Great video. I have a question though. I am a huge fan of patchouli. My problem is, I just want a nice REAL patchouli smell. I don't want all the other notes out shining the patchouli . So what would you suggest sir. Just want the real thing, nice and light. Yes, the smell from the 60,s. Not something that says patchouli, and all you smell is floral.
