You have the Perfect choice as #1 Patchouli in my opinion !! I was converted to this one. Initially upon 1st spray, however, I was repelled. I attempted to scrub it off. Fortunately for me, it is so made that the scent wouldn't budge !!! Some 20 or so minutes into the dry down, I was IN LOVE ! 😍 So, I figured I would share this experience as a disclaimer for anyone in your viewing audience who may be considering trying Pschedelique by JOVOY PARIS. Please give this fragrance an opportunity to dry down and do it's magic. Otherwise you may be put off by the initial blast. In this case in particular... Patience is a Virtue that will certainly be rewarded...!! 😁

Patch Flash is indeed very elegant and almost classic Chanelike; stern, to the lovers of a thick dark patchoulis beasts like the Jovoy one (the horror of spelling )it is perhaps not a safe blind buy, it is far too bright and airy if your deeply into the darker patch. Patchouli can never be boring! Best subject ever! Myself I love Les Nereides Patchouli Antique it has that trance quality a serenity and simple pureness and I also love Vanille Patchouli Les Seteurs Gourmandes, wry affordable and got huge love for Dames Earth Mother as a wearable clean summer patch, so good... Thank you this was a very inspiering watch.

Wow! That's quite a comprehensive list of patchouli frags! I was in a big patchouli fragrances 4-5 years ago, but sort of fell out of love...although I still enjoy wearing them from time to time. Also, patchouli fragrances were hard for me to define since there is a fair amount of patchouli in so many fragrances. To me, I don't like an overly "hippy" kind of in-your-face patchouli. Instead, I like a full-flavored patch that is smooth and with the edges and wrinkles removed - if that makes any sense. There are a ton of great patchouli frags...but if they're overly gourmand, not patchy enough, or haven't been smoothed out then they didn't make my list. My favorites in this category are: Chanel Coromandel Dior Patchouli Imperial Bois 1920 Real Patchouly Perris Monte Carlo Essence de Patchouli Les Nereides Patchouli Antique These are on my to-sniff/to-purchase list: Montale Patchouli Leaves Les Nereides Patchouli Precieux Von Eusersdorff Classic Patchouli Cheers!

All of the perfumeries in Florence are excellent, as most of them have been around for centuries. After all, the frorentins have tought the french and the english modern perfumery, after Caterina de' Medici married the King of France during the renaissance. In my opinion, one of the best perfumer is Farmacia SS (which stands for Santissima=most hallowed) Annunziata: they don't make many fragrances, but all of them are astounding. My favourite is Nero Incenso Concentrato. If you love Avignon, Nero incenso takes the concept of Avignon and brings it to the very top level. If some of you will go to Florence, you should plan a tour of all of the perfume pharmacies (SS Annunziata, Santa Maria Novella and Profumi di Firenze above the others) and artisans perfumers; you won't regret it, but maybe you will spend some money.... I love Dhalia!!!

Atelier Mistral Patchouli is my favorite patchouli fragrance. I bought it in Paris when it was first released loved it immediately. It also has the distinction of being the only frag I like with a star anise note.

Awesome list. And Dalya is lovely. Please invite her back :D I've heard a lot of good things about Jovoy's Psychedelique. Putting this on my sample list. I wasn't too keen on the Coromandel EDP formulation. It does smell like Coromandel but it seems to have lost its sparkle. And I do feel that they added some kind of sugary amber accord in the base...which i smell in a number of mainstream releases. My favourite Patchouli scent so far is Coromandel EDT followed by Sammarco's Bond-T/ Serge Lutens Borneo 1834. But in general, i do think I would like most patchouli scents, its hard to screw up patchouli. Tauerville's Patchouli Flash wasn't good on me. The patchouli note is earthy, clean and elegant but there's this unpleasant fabric softener laundry musk accord that swamps over the patchouli on my skin. Sad :( I love applying a single drop of patchouli in the shower. It brings back feelings of trekking through the jungle for me.

espresso, can you elaborate? For what its worth, i got my hands on a sample of Farmacia Annunziata's Patchouly Indonesiano. Its not too bad, a bit too clean for my liking (i think i detect the dreaded white musk in the background) but much preferable to patchouli flash. Surprisingly for a parfum concentration, it did not have much longevity on my skin.

Well, Jovoy has been a huge disappointment for me. Psychedelique, Jeux Soint Faits and even Private Label are not suiting me at all. Psychedelique is not an attractive perfume at all. I've received two negative comments from females. First that it's dusty and choking and the second was that it smells like rotten wood. So it's not a universally appealing smell. It's something like a super niche fragrance for noses that got bored of nice smelling stuff.

This scent was extremly good, once you sprayed it on, it never left you through the day. Black rose and an cirtus opening, patchouly from the start to the end. I never found an equal performance ever again. Very sad they discontinued one of the best Poisons Dior ever made. If you can get one, you must try it! You can only win ;))
