@Jumpyman_thegamerYT Жыл бұрын
For Pennywise, it is also implied in the original book that IT can appear in multiple places at the same time (As shown by the different times and dates listed at the beginning of the chapters. Multiple members of The Losers Club encounter Pennywise at the same time). IT has a different biology to humans. IT (like others of its species) is vulnerable to, what is known as in the original books, as ‘Belief’ Energy. If you truly and utterly believe (100%, with no wavering)that something will hurt the creature, then that is what will happen.

Jeepers Creeper is so bland and lacking in any scary characteristics. He violated the main rule in monsters, don't let him be seen too much. Second rule, it's gotta to be plausible. Serial killers. Sharks. It's plausible because people have died from them. So it is somewhat realistic threat. A stupid looking guy in a dark costume catering to prepubescent males is not scary. Creeper is boring, actually.

The Creeper is probably low because it only has a limited amount of activity time of 23 days within 23 years, as compared to the others that are on the go 24/7 whole year around. If not for the limited amount of activity time, he should easily be in the top 5, since he shared the same theme of using causing fear and stalking prey.

pennywises' greatest power is also his greatest weakness. He feeds off of fear and instills it in his victums, however he is basically powerless against those who know how to fight him and show no fear towards him. Freddy made be all powerful in the dream world but what he doesn't want you to know is that since its technally your dreams he invades you actually show be able to repeal him with ease if you know the concept of a lucid dream where you are self aware of it and can shape it however you want.

i don't think so, in nightmare 3 the nerdy boy transform himself into a wizard with powers and fights Freddy. The epilogue was "Sorry kid, i don't believe in fairy tales". Also pennywise isn’t weakened by someone not being afraid. That was a random movie-ism they added to condense his lore. The Saeki family and the Ju-On curse (“Ju-On” and “The Grudge” franchise) deserves not to just be on the list, but top five in my opinion. The curse cannot be satiated nor can it be stopped. People have tried to burn the house down, which only caused it to worsen. With something like Sadako/Samara, you need to just watch out for unlabeled video tapes as well as copy and share with someone else. You know that you have seven days to complete these objectives. With Freddy, once you drag him into the real world, he’s essentially a mortal. Also he had a limited demographic (kids and teens living on Elm Street). Pinhead, don’t mess with creepy-looking cubes. Otherwise, solving it will send the cenobites back to their realm. Valak, call it by its name.

Evryone, but Pazuzu is laughable. Pure fictitious crap. It cannot be scary if no one can beleive it can exist. If you're a Christian believer, then you must also believe in Satan. If you're not a believer, then it still worms in your subconcious......perhaps satanic demons might exist. Could evil exist in physical form? Pazuzu is a Mesopotamian God of the air. In ancient times, God control all above the earth and above the air. Satan controlled the earth and the air. Pazuzu is just one demonic entity. Could possessions be real? We've all heard of possessions, and even some churches still practice exorcism. So it it just an empty ritual of superstition or a real ritual to rid of demons......perhaps......so it exists in some closet of most people's minds. And William Friedkin and the great special effects made it all so real. William Peter Blatty also researched the catholic theories and exorcism rites to give authenticity to the story.

It was well directed with great special effects and a healthy dose of dark humor. It has jump scares and extended gut-wrenching gore. John Landis dis a great directorial job here, manipulating viewers with suspense and shock, then an uneasy joke. The shark from Jaws deserves a worthy mention. Weighting over 3 tons and 25 feet long, it can swim fast, take deep dives, sink a boat, and impale its victims with its powerful jaws. Plus, it has really thick skin, making it difficult to kill with a knife or even a single gunshot. While all monsters on this list are make believe, man eating creatures that are actually real is even scarier.
@ms.annthrope415 Жыл бұрын
Big Blue, the largest great white measured by scientists is at 20 feet. So is 25 feet out of the question? Do people get eaten by sharks? Hundreds of sailors from the USS Indianapolis were eaten over a 3 day period after the ship sank and 1,200 sailors bobbed in the water. People are chomped on every year. So it is a valid fear. It is a valid creature. A killer clown line Pennywise......except for John Wayne Gacy, clowns are more scary to kids than to adults. A monster should have a viable nexus to reality. Sharks. Serial killers. Not Creepers or Pinhead idiocy. Aliens? We have not found life outside of earth yet. But it's only a matter of time. Will we find microbes or intelligent, voracious creatures? It's plausible new found life can be much more violent than even human beings.

At the end of the movie there is a short clip portraying some of the protagonists on a ferris wheel with the monster crashing into the ocean in the background. Personally, if I had to choose one, it would actually be The Thing. Unlike Pennywise or Freddy, The Thing doesn't need or care about your fears. It's purely Biological. It spreads and consumes and it can never truly die because it lives on a cellular level. And it's subtle. Fast. Replicates perfectly, and is stealthy. It was found frozen already so that won't kill it. And it did that BY CHOICE. Honestly, even if it were all by itself in Antarctica, all it would have to do is crawl into the ocean with all of the sea creatures and it would take over the world. What's Pennywise or Pinhead got on that? Nothing. The Xenomorphs wouldn't win either. The Thing is basically them already but worse. I think the Thing is actually the most powerful being. We just don't think about it to that capacity because the movies don't take us there. The movie focuses on keeping it isolated to well...an isolated environment. Because if it took place anywhere else then we wouldn't have a movie. We would have a slaughter.
