I never saw Who Framed Roger Rabbit as a child, and I’m so happy for that, Mufasa’s and Scar’s deaths from The Lion King scarred me when I was nine, and Oogie Boogie’s death from The Nightmare Before Christmas scarred me when I was like 12 or 13. Judge doom was creepy enough before he died, his death along with the over sexualization of Jessica Rabbit are probably some very good reasons why my parents never let me watch Who Framed Roger Rabbit when I was younger.

As much as Disney brings our imaginations to life, they also know how to grip our heartstrings. Heart-wrenching character deaths are a common occurrence in the best Disney projects. Whether it be the inevitable defeat of a cunning villain or a character-building death of a protagonist, death in a Disney movie has always been a hard pill to swallow. Many of us at young age remember some traumatizing Disney deaths that will never leave our minds. When the conversation about traumatic Disney deaths comes up, The Lion King is one of those movies that you cannot avoid. Of course, Mufasa's death had us all in shambles. However, we tend to forget that Scar's death is maybe even more brutal. Although we don't see him actually die on-screen, Scar meets a horrifying (and deserving end) when he gets cornered by the band of hyenas, and they all swarm him, leaving us to assume he was eaten.
