I was born in '88 too. Can definitely understand why you won't miss dial up internet. Jacked up my mom's phone bill due to how experimental the tech was at the time. Made convincing her to go for one of the newer internet connections a bothersome task.

Being a 90s kid, I can definitely relate to a lot of these. The Olsen twins were my childhood heroes. I amazingly never failed at opening a Capri Sun drink. I was an obsessive Beanie Babies collector and I slept with the “life-size” ones at night and I still have a vast majority of them in storage because I have such fond memories of them (many of them are souvenirs too). I went to Blockbuster once or twice a week ever since I was six cause there was one only 5 minutes away from my house and we would rent around 4-6 movies a week! I still have all the movies and games I ever bought from there.

10:06 I can definitely relate to that! When I was in elementary school, we were always watching things like Reading Rainbow, Arthur, Bill Nye, and more as part of educational programs for the subject we were learning, but also my school district had its own TV channel and would air certain kids shows such as Reading Rainbow, Wishbone, Arthur, and more on certain days every weekday and we would always get to watch them whenever they came on and they weren’t part of a “privilege reward” or anything. It was the part of the day I always looked forward to the most, even more than recess LOL

I was born in 1988 so I grew up in the 90s. I remember being in school one day just randomly drawing the cool S. I always drew mine with a horizontal line at the bottom, not a point which was how I always drew them. I had never even seen it before but I was just drawing vertical lines and joining them up and came up with it. My sister had moon shoes, beanie babies and a skip it. I had forgotten about stamp pens, but I definitely remembered the multi coloured pens and used to have them, along with orange and yellow fluorescent highlighter markers. I never actually seen or heard the THX logo in person as I only went to the cinema a few times in the 90s. I do remember trying not to get my CDs scratched, especially PC software, games and Windows CDs, but my sister who is 7 years younger than me, kept taking mine and I find them scratched up or left somewhere they could easily get damaged. I kept telling her not to take them and tried to hide them, but she kept finding and taking them. Our family didn't get internet to the late 90s with 56K dialup and I remember trying to download a 3MB or so MP3 file and it taking over an hour and my mom kept telling me to hurry up and get off the internet. I loved The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, for me it was one of my top favorite shows of the 90s along with Home Improvement and never missed them when they were on TV. I also remember having glow in the dark stickers on my bedroom ceiling as a young child, Pogs, Mighty Max (the world's most fun choking hazard), Bouncy Balls (I used to get some every week from machines in a local village near where we lived at the time), weird skateboard called something like a tri-board that was 3 sided with a wheel on each side, all the great kids shows, Spinner Yo-Yos, 3 sided plastic boomerangs (the ones I had were wider than what I have seen online today and each side had a whole in the top for your fingers to go through and they were fluorescent colors like pink and yellow)

@@Soul-cry1 nah not true at all cgi now looks like shit … even Ai is trash …. Back then it wasn’t always good true but you can’t blame it since it wasn’t that advanced but now that we have the technology, the people Hollywood hire don’t even their job that well their cgi are mostly see trough …. Like yes compare today to back then we’re much advanced but rn it doesn’t feel like we’re really in that futuristic time, it just feels like we’re stuck at basic level and people are fighting each other online and encouraged bc of politics, I personally miss when Americans were actually trying to improve the country and not setting it back or fighting each other although ofc even back then it was flawed with discrimination but there was a little bit more harmony rn Americans are so focused on fighting each other that when for example someone form Europe say something bad the country actually Americans agrees ….. back then we didn’t have that much technology but we were still obsessed with the future and futurism aesthetic

By using simple text graphics on screen in contrast with a jaw-dropping demonstration of multi-channel sound, "Wings" raised the bar for quality audio presentation by showing audiences just what was possible in the movie theaters.” Source: The THX Wiki.

I was born in 1987, so everything from the 90s was a memory. Even games like POGs was huge. And so was watching horror or action movies your way to young for was normal because your parents or family just didn't care. They expected you to know it wasn't real. Plus their was always Saturday morning cartoons!

See, you actually were a "90s kid". It's strange hearing people born in the first half of the 90s call themselves 90s kids, when the majority of our growing up years and events that have shaped us into who we are, took place during the 2000s.

Please, If you're a 90s kid, heed my words. I want to get this out to as many of you as possible: I feel that 90s kids automatically praise anything from the 90s no matter how dated or cringey it may be, and that they are always ranting and complaining about anything that isn't from the 90s without even giving it a chance to see if they might actually like it. Not only is their constant negativity annoying to listen to, but they are upsetting modern kids by claiming that everything they love is garbage. So, if you're a 90s kid, please try to remember that different people like different things. You're ruining the lives of younger people like me. Think about how you would have felt as a kid if some random adult had yelled at you to stop watching Rugrats or Hey Arnold because it was garbage and pressured you into watching old black-and-white sitcoms because they claimed that they were in every way better. That's essentially what you're doing to us modern kids. (Plus, I'm betting that a huge part of why you like the 90s so much is because of nostalgia.) This complaining is actually especially offensive to me in particular because I, myself, am a young adult planning to enter the film and animation industries. I very much enjoy the thought of bringing others joy with what I create, and I have been kicking around an idea for a cartoon of my own that I am EXTREMELY fond of and confident in. What I'm interpreting you 90s kids as saying is "give up on your dreams! All you'll make is pointless garbage that no one will like!", So can you please think before you post an online comment criticizing something you don't fully understand? You just might really hurt someone's feelings. (P.S: if you're curious about my cartoon, I would describe it as a combination of Gravity Falls, Avatar The Last Airbender, and the Arrowverse, but that's all I'll say)

You should see how many of them are angry because the new Space Ghost comics aren't a comedy like Space Ghost Coast To Coast, despite the fact that the comics are faithful to the original 1960s Space Ghost, which was a Saturday morning action packed cartoon.

Born in 1993 and have a Good memory of the last 3 years of the 90’s (and a very vague memory of some events in the mid 90’s). I experienced childhood in both 90’s and early 00’s before becoming a teenager in the Mid 00’s. So I’m basically hybrid, not one or the other but both.

Being a 90s kid I can relate to most of these. I never had a problem opening a Capri Sun, but my mom did LOL. I watched every movie the Olsen twins were in, I had a tamagotchi, and most of my school supplies was Lisa Frank. I always sang along to the Fresh Prince of Bel Air theme song and I knew how to do the Carlton. I rented a movie almost every weekend. I also loved playing with my skip it. The 90s were great!

Born in 92 and I can tell kids today so many stories about the 90s. Especially about beanie baby mania.I remember hearing about parents fighting in toy stores like in jingle all the way to get them for their kids. So many bite marks, black eyes and missing hair. Another thing I remember is Sargent soaker. Super power. Super speed. Super soakers all you need.

Using so much footage from Arthur is quite appropriate for this video. I seriously miss Blockbusters. Heck, the one that used to be down the street from my old family home is where I got my copy of Scooby Doo and the Witch's Ghost. The 90s were the best. I really do miss them. Everything seemed so much simpler back then. And more fun
