In Chi Chi's defense. He doesn't work, prioritized training and fighting over school for his son. Let their son fight galactic villains. Doesn't kiss her. And repeatedly dies and chooses to stay dead to fight other dead people while his child grows up without a father. He let's his child fight cell.. He doesn't even call from the underworld even though he is fully capable. He never gave his son a hug. Literally you can see Gohan hug him and he doesn't hug back. Atleast vegeta takes his kids to the park. Both have heavy himbo vibes.

Nanami only really says those things in the beginning, as their relationship continues she stops saying those things and works to make their relationship better and to progress it further. Hirotaka also regularly points out how she isn’t exactly his type either. She started dating Hirotaka as a matter of convenience for being an otaku, but she starts to gradually fall in love with him. It’s not a great way to start a relationship, but hirotaka proposed it knowing that’s how it’d be, at least at the start. They fall in love with each other despite the other not being the others “ideal”, it’s kind of the point of the entire anime.

I'm shocked that Satou Matsuzaka from Happy Sugar Life wasn't on this list. She's right up there with Kirino and Yuno in both disgusting relationship and batshit insane. I mean she kills someone right off in the first episode, falls in love with a 10 year old girl, for all intents and purposes *KIDNAPS HER* , starts a romantic relationship with her, tries to marry the little girl, and *KILLS HER OWN BEST FRIEND* to hide that fact. It doesn't help that her aunt is just as crazy and sets their apartment complex on fire to destroy the evidence of the two murders.

First: Satou Matsuzaka can't be considered as a girlfriend since Shio is an underage girl that was just going on with the flow with Satou because she doesn't have that much memories of her past that all she can rely on is Satou Second: If Happy Sugar Life is just like an ordinary romance anime, it's doesn't have that much of a difference like Mirai Nikki and other anime that has a Yandere GF Third: You can also say that Satou is a best GF since she'll do everything she can just to stay with the person she loves(it's just that the one she loves is an underage girl so it's not normal), she even sacrificed herself just to save Shio from the fall.

Yeah... but chi chi is still pretty bad, not only as a wife, but a mother too. I've recently been rewatching season 6 and, her reasons for not wanting Gohan to fight Cell are... so bloody stupid, I don't think she lives in the same reality as everyone else in Dragonball Z. She didn't want Gohan to fight Cell AND SAVE THE PLANET because that isn't something that would get Gohan into college. Honestly, Chi Chi is one of the characters I dislike the most, because she ignores reality until it's literally slapping her in the face.

When Kazuya gets a rental girlfriend (if you haven't seen the anime, yes there are a such things as rental girlfriends hence the name of the anime Rent-A-Girlfriend) she shows up, believes that she's his actual girlfriend and tries to get them to break up by talking about all of the embarrassing things that Kazuya did when he was dating her. Basically what makes her so bad is that she broke up with him but still doesn't want him to get another girlfriend and is trying everything in her power to break them up

Aaww why the hate on Chi-Chi 😔 She didn't really know Goku was from space until after finding out about his death after Raditz. Also the reason why she is the way she is because she is fearful for her families lives. She knows Goku is strong but she does not want to lose him or her boys. That's why she is so hard on them. It's much like how we can be with our kids at times. If you had a partner that did something dangerous everyday you would be filled with all kinds of emotions from worry, anger, stress etc. People should learn to have some empathy to understand a souls life before casting immediate judgement.

In sola's defense, She's literally being enchanted by Lancers rape-curse. (Yes its rape, its the exact thing that happens with Medea and Jason) so she doesn't actually have much agency in her story.

Sola SHOULD be able to block Diarmuid curse even with her meager magical skills (that's actually stated multiple times in nasuverse/fateverse: anyone trained in using a magic circuit is automatically adept at resisting mind control/hypnosis/charm spells; it's the same reason Rin is super-pissed with Shiro after he is hypnotized by Ilya in Fate). Source material implies that if she actually succumbed to Diarmuid's geas, then she did it willingly (probably in spite of her husband).

In Zatch Bell if Suzy had manage to get a boyfriend, she be the worse girlfriend. She can't do anything right even for Kiyo who she has a crush on. She can't cook, she can't clean well, she gets side tracked easily, she has no sense of direction, she can't even put a disassemble bed together without somehow building a cage around herself and lock herself inside with no way in or out Isbe did so in an anime filler). I feel like the term "girlfriend" is used very loosely as some of these characters are either married or only been on a couple dates. Moreover, some of these feel overreaching, such as the case with Lust who only "dates" Havoc in order to gain intel about his and Mustang's work (which doesn't work very well but does mess with Mustang). In the case of Viletta, her shooting Ohgi is a complicated situation as she deals with her conflicting feelings regarding her past and present. She wars within herself throughout the second season as her relationship is even used against her for blackmail by Lelouch (Viletta herself is even held hostage against Ohgi later on). Yet, over time, they eventually realize their love for one another and eventually get married with Viletta pregnant with his child.

As for Chi-Chi, the relationship itself is bad as although she can be abrasive and has to yell at her husband just to get him to do the bare minimum, Goku is a terrible husband and father. Part of it can be attributed to Goku's immaturity to anything outside fighting as he pushes off responsibility for his twice-pregnant wife onto her and his friends. Something that can't be blamed on him being a Saiyan as Vegeta does have some merits (though he is not without his faults as well). Between Chi-Chi's too strict attitude and his too lax personality, the blame can be put on both sides (and don't even get me started on the GT series...ugh).
