We've had good parody movies before like Austin Powers, Blazing Saddles, Spaceballs and Scary Movie. The difference is that they had great stories and clever jokes that were well thought out and never dragged on, NOT JUST ONE RANDOM INTERCHANGEABLE JOKE AFTER ANOTHER!

A cameo is when a significant actor/actress plays a small or insignificant role. Almost every single "cameo" you mention are not actually cameos. Bob Barker (Happy Gilmore), Neil Patrick Harris (Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle), Matt Damon playing as Loki (Thor: Ragnarok) are examples of cameos. Some random and unknown actor/actress playing a well known character/person in a parody film, is a portrayal and technically not a cameo.

I literally only remember that chipmunk scene, so I can say I was saved from the trauma of the whole movie, although I always wondered how Giselle could eat an alcohol glass bottle and survive. Guess my interpretation of childhood movies just misses a lot of things..

The one I remember is an oldie but goodie. In the final showdown of Wrongfully Accused, the Leslie Nielsen spoof of The Fugitive, there is a shootout between the goodies and baddies when a sudden and 100 percent out of context Riverdance parody ensues. The villains stand together with their arms firmly to their sides to dance while dodging a flurry of bullets as Irish music plays in the background. When it finishes, the good guys actually give their foes a standing ovation

I think the mojo crowd has a very difficult time seeing past their own noses at times. Their list, or takes on their lists, get worse each time. The want to be “woke” so bad that they can’t allow themselves to see what the actual parody was and why it was done as it is. It’s like people who listen to a comedian who is clearly poking fun a societal ills and showing how absurd they are but they get mad because they think the comedian is making commentary that is supportive of said afflictions.
