For anyone curious, the reason the first tip wont effect your battery life is because you're going in the opposite direction in terms of power usage. The number you select is what's multiplied against the base length of the animation. So 0.5X is half the animation length, thus twice the animation speed. Animations do take additional processing power, however slight, so this would actually save some battery. That said, it's a trade-off. Remember too, 120hz can go a long way to compensate for faster animations with fewer transitional frames. Rendering at 120hz (display speed) aka 120fps (software framerate) gives you twice as many frames of animation to work with. Half as many frames of animation is still incredibly fluid when you've got twice as many frames to work with. 😉

My favorite thing to do is to use Adapt Sound and customize my headphones to the way I hear. In adapt sound it allows you to take a hearing test with your headphones on and once it's done it give a sample to listen in regular audio vs YOUR audio from the hearing test and it has been a game changer for me. Your video helped a lot and I've used your tips and tricks before on previous phone models. Thanks! Awesome video!!

I recently decided to upgrade from my trusty old S6 to an S22 Ultra, after a little push from Prime day discounts (and an increasingly faulty S6 charging port). It should arrive today, so I'm about to step into a spacetime worm hole, a bit intimidating. Tip: on the extra dim 🔅, you can also add it to the accessibility toggle. It will add an icon of the person in the very bottom right hand corner, at any time you can tap it to instantly switch Ultra dim on and off. I find it immensely helpful.

You forgot about changing the notification "edge lighting style and color options". Go to Settings ⚙️ then click on Notifications; then click Brief pop-up settings then Edge lighting style, you can choose from the list of effects and even change the colors. You're Welcome 😁

In addition to turning the animation scales to .5x, I always turn the Logger Buffer file size down to 64K. For some reason, newer phones I've set up for customers lately has had the Logger Buffer cranked clear up to 4M. Samsung, Motorola, and Nokia have been cranking it up that far for some reason. There's just no need.

@@giselagaray1818 The way it was explained to me is that the Logger Buffer is a type of junk file. The larger it is, the slower the phone reacts. I always shrink it down to its lowest setting, (which is 64K) and the phone seems to be even snappier once I've done it. I have always done this along with reducing the animation scales to every phone I've had over the last 5 years and it works like a charm every time. :-)

Good tips. I suggest anyone new to Samsung watch this. I've been on Samsung for some time now so I knew most of these just from playing with my phone for years. Samsung has come a LONG way with their UI and it doesn't get the credit they deserve. Even Google's new UI is stealing things from them. But owning a Samsung Galaxy does require you take the time to learn these things, and sadly most do not and they miss out on what makes these phones so great. Good vid.

The best tip in my opinion was the rotate button on the navigation bar. However, to get the rotate button in the navigation bar, you need to enable it. Simply swipe down so you can see your auto rotate quick setting and long press it so that the settings for it come up. After that, just check the option for "rotate button in navigation bar" and you're good to go. Leave auto rotate turned off and have fun!

ive recently switched from Iphone to Samsung Galaxy s21, at first i ran into alot of little annoyances, though i stuck with it and now im a bit of Android power user, once you understand how Android works, it really functions really well with so many features and Samusng throws in some great additions such as secure folder, DEX, Good Lock, one handed operation, pop up view (awesome feature) etc etc
