Exactly it's an extremely hard game to master its not just potting balls there's side Spin to account for when playing a shot, position, speed,power,angles all kinds of stuff.They make it look so easy that anybody can do it that is until you get down the club for a game and realise maybe I'm not so good🤣

Such a beautiful game, everything about it. Size of the table, how the balls are arranged and their values, the 'sequence' of red, colour, red..., fouls, 'foul/miss' rule, and using fouls as another route to winning frames lost on points available from balls remaining and their values. It's by far the most original, challenging, well thought out and entertaining cue-sport, and it's professionals are the elite amongst other cue-sport players. The fundamental ability needed for this game is cueball control. Potting's far from easy on such a large table with tight, unforgiving pockets, but doable. Interpreting, understanding and being able to calculate on instinct the movement of the white (physics and mechanics, advanced, both of them) from where you hit and how hard, it's ridiculous. Playing a shot with side, the full length of the table, hitting the object ball and knowing the white's 'new path' from it's momentum/spin still in effect/changing of angles off cushions... RIDICULOUS

It's so easy as someone that plays pool to not be impressed with these shots. They're shooting the length of 3(?) UK pool tables here it's bloody amazing

A typical UK Pool table is 6-7ft, and a full size tournament-spec Snooker table is 12ft, so around double the size. Still extremely impressive!

@@auremilka Oh you're referring to the total area of the tables? True, snooker tables have almost 3 times the total area of a pool table, but this is irrelevant as a shot from the baulk cushion to the bottom cushion is double that of a similar shot in pool, in terms of length.

That's the opponent acknowledging the quality of the shot, they tap the table with their cue, as if to say "well played".

Yes and no. Yes, a hard shot on the black was intended (so as to get a good position of the cue ball). But the plan was of-course to pot the black in the corner - so no, actual outcone not intended. Just a very unlikely fluke,

Stephen Lee was made an example of, very unfairly. 12 year ban without any solid, definitive proof. The guy was a top 8 player, struck the ball better than anyone I've ever seen, including O'Sullivan (And I'm a huge Ronnie fan, man's the undisputed king)
