Happy place also spoke deep into my soul. I bawled through the entire book and related so much to the story and my own life. It also put me in a major slump because it was a bit of entry- therapy in a book 😂

i dont understand why ppl rag on abt the magnolia parks series being toxic like its FICTION. it doesnt have any problematic things like assault or stalking or whatever like other booktok books and yes the characters are messy and flawed but they are genuinely so complex and REAL. say what u want abt the series but no one can say that those characters are shallow because its simply incorrect.

My favorite stand alones this year were Lessons in Chemistry and Remarkably Bright Creatures. Series wise, I absolutely loved the Lovelight Farms series, MPU (thanks Rachel), and the Before the Coffee Gets Cold series!

i started listening to the magnolia parks series on spotify and im literally obsessed. like julian and CHRISTIAN'S voice i simply cannot. christian isnt even my fav at all but his voice i was just geeking over the whole time. just got to the end of the great undoing and i genuinely feel sick like i cried so much hearing julian and magnolia go thru that. reading it is one thing but LISTENING TO IT?? i wish i could bottle up the world and give it to julian haites he deserves it

Ah Rachel I love your videos so much !! I’ve read one Emily Henry book - Beach Read, which don’t hate me but I really didn’t enjoy and found it boring. I’ve only read the first Magnolia Parks but I felt like I couldn’t continue as I just didn’t agree with the way infidelity was romanticised and the way things were made out to be NORMAL behaviour. But maybe I’ll give both authors another go in 2024! A very happy new year, and thanks for great content 🥰🥰

Beach Read is quite a hard read in my opinion, you might enjoy Book Lovers or Happy Place more! And as for Magnolia Parks, I would definitely recommend Daisy Haites I thought the plot was far more interesting! xx

Loved how you named your tiers after Taylor Swift songs. 13:33 I just finished this 3 days ago and could not put it down. I felt like I was in the middle of a Marvel movie. 16:28 I am waiting for this to come in the mail. I can’t wait to read it. I have anxiety too & definitely relate to Jacob’s character. 19:37 I appreciate the video game references in this book. I agree with you about the flawed characters. I did not find them relateable maybe because I am not big into gaming. 25:09 On my list. I loved Book Lovers and love Beach Read and will love this just as much. Happy New Year my friend.
