As Flippy explained in his video, the Madd Dogg glitch happens because of the "Peds Attack Each Other" cheat. When the cheat is used, it basically overwrites the behavior of every ped in the game to act like aggrivated gang members. When the cheat is turned off, instead of returning their behavior to normal, it just erases the behavior altogether. Since peds are just background elements and don't have a predetermined script, they act just fine. But since Madd Dogg has one, and it gets erased, he begins walking like a normal pedestrian and falls off the building. Though, this doesn't really make much sense to me, since a lot of missions have people with scripted movements, and they seem to be unaffected. Moral of the story though, either don't save while using cheats or don't cheat at all!

I heard it was because the game used frame rate to calculate seconds, and framerates above 20-30 bug it out and make the game thing a second is way shorter than it is.

GTA 3 has a serious glitch in the game where there is a override code to remove the purple niners entirely, and it's transfered from new save to new save, making the original save a virus. It was never patched in the iOS and Android versions of thr game

Yeah, that glitch is the reason why my oldest brother has never used cheat codes again. Before the Madd Dogg glitch, he was a dumb teenage boy (hell, even as a 33 year old, he's still dumb) who cheated quite extensively and saved with cheats enabled. However, after getting that bug, it discouraged him from cheating ever again.

Many NPCs in GTA SA are also affected by the cheat despite being turned off. Catalina will shoot CJ a new asshole, many girlfriends he can aquire will commit homicide on everyone, gym tutors will kick your ass inside out, hot dog venders will make you regret everything, and a fuck ton of problems, even drug dealers are affected somewhat

The Ice Cream Factory glitch in GTA Vice City had nothing to do with why console gamers didn't wan GTA V ported to PC. They didn't want it ported because of this stupid "Console VS PC" war going on. The reason they give doesn't even make sense. Rockstar made a mistake in an earlier game for the PC, so now PC gamers "don't deserve" to play the new one? How is it the gamers fault? People should just play what they like playing and stop caring about what other people play. It really doesn't matter.

The by far worst glitch in the Ps3 version of Skyrim is when your gamesave exceeds 10mb in size. After that, the game starts to lag and even freeze quite often. And if that wasnt bad enough already, another glitch causes savefiles to grow in size rapidly, even when you havent done much yet. Great: a glitch which makes another glitch EVEN WORSE!

I think they found out what causes the mad dog glitch. When you use cheats like the "peds always fight" or stuff like that, Madd Dogg gets frozen in that state and after the cutscene ends, he jumps off to do whatever action the last ped cheat you used was. (i.e, fight civilians, run away...)

it occurs because some lines of code don't reset after the cheat is entered and you save after using it. it occurs in the mobile port as well. not sure about PS4 hd remaster though

@@johnroberts4624 The 360 port was based on the mobile port, and it likely is still there considering nether Rockstar, nor War Drum Studios (later Grove Street Games) never fixed it, nor did they fix the Purple Niners glitch on the mobile version of GTA3 where the code gets overwritten on one save and will stay overwritten on every new save, causing the original save to be a virus.

Another glitch is one that happens on the PC version of Resident Evil 5. In Chapter 6-1 (I believe it is) where you are on the ship, you get to a point where your partner gets stuck in a cage and you have to find a way to lift it. When that happens, zombies will jump down and start attacking you, and lastly there will be a zombie with a shield jumping down who is supposed to drop a key so you can leave the area. On the PC version there is a glitch that does so the AI gets stuck up there and never jumps down. You can see the shadow on the ground of the AI spinning around, but will never actually jump down. No matter what, you are forced to go and change some of the game's files in order for it work correctly. There is no way to finish the level without that key.

1:27 That's a crash handler, it plays whenever a crash is detected and is meant to help you know why your game crashed. A crash is nothing serious, just force-reset the console.

Not sure if anyone mentioned it here, but the madd dogg glitch is caused by rioting civilians cheat and then saving. Even after disabling it some values weren't restored properly so the glitch happened if you saved after using that cheat, even if you disabled it.

The vampire glitch can also happen on Oblivion, but only on the PS3 GOTY edition. It's the dreaded bloodgrass glitch where when you try to give your blood grass to the woman who makes the cure, she will not recognize it in your inventory and repeat the same dialogue option. There is no other cure, forcing you to either always be a vampire (which might I add, is hideously ugly and sucks because of health damage and no fast travel during the day) or reloading your save before becoming a vampire. I was level 26, and i had to load back to level 16.

There is a fix if you change the language to Dutch I think it is and go through the giving her bloodgrass it should let you give it to her then save after and change the system language to English again the ps3 system language is the one you need to change I think it's a coding bug with English for the game and it doesn't check if you have it but Dutch fixes that bug I did it myself awhile ago and it worked

If I remember correctly, Valve only made the PC version themselves and made a deal with other people to work on the console ports of the game. However, those deals later fell through, and Valve was unwilling to fight to get the ports back when they didnt even know how to patch them or work with console code. So support for them died almost instantly and Valve focused on the PC game instead.

Here's a Glitch from Super Smash Bros. for Wii U that doesn't just break the game but has a chance of breaking the Wii U Console. When playing in the For Glory mode online, and after a match return to the Wii U menu, the player will get a black screen and a message error. Trying to go to the configuration menu of the Wii U console, the player will get another error message. After this, the console will be blocked. This is an old way Nintendo utilized to discover and stop the Wii piracy. The brick may happen because of a lag in the Wii U memory. It also said that it may reformat the system memory. The Lumiose City Glitch can be worked around by : 1. Not saving there ; 2. Upon loading your file, open the Home menu (not quitting the software, of course) while the game is loading. This glitch is created by the game loading too many assets for the hardware to handle, so the game freezes. Opening the Home menu with a correct timing lets the 3DS correctly load the data. You may need to try a couple times before allowing your save to be played again. Also, it was patched quite quickly by Nintendo. Anyways, thanks for your video, it was cool and interesting !

That New Vegas glitch reminds me of something that happened in Skyrim once. I was a vampire lord. The game autosaved while I was still a vampire lord. I died, the save loaded, and I died instantly. Good thing there was another save not too far back...

Another mistake: It happened to every save file made before 2001 that was allowed to move into 2001. When this happened, as timed events would rely on a specific date, they would be infinitely delayed because the in-game clock would somehow reset itself to 2000. this made the timed events unusable in 2001.

3 years late, but if you have Pokemon Colosseum (and the Jirachi bonus disk) and you connect your gameboy to the gamecube it'll patch sapphire and ruby (emerald is already patched I think) An less expensive but trickier method is to homebrew the Wii and get a rom of the bonus disk. You'll still need the cable to connect the gameboy but it's a lot better than spending an ungodly amount of money like I stupidly did

I have a (possibly) obscure one: on the PS2 system there was a game called 'Jack x: combat racing', it has 2 glitches (both I experienced myself). the first (and worst) one being if you played on any slim version of the PS2 the games autosaving would glitch into continuous saving causing corruption, the corrupted data now taking space in your memory card and being unremovable (without using an exploit requiring other specific games) and forcing you to restart the whole campaign, the only way to avoid this is by removing the memory card immediately and manually saving after the race (which also automatically turns autosaving back on). The second one is if you happen to shortcut to later sections of the race(ie.by hopping over a guardrail, which can happen accidently due to being shot with certain weapons) the map would eventually stop loading and forcing you to restart the race.

Some game-breakers I found on accident... Ratchet and Clank 2: Going Commando - This glitch isn't so bad, and is completely avoidable, but it's entirely capable of completely breaking the entire game if you're not careful. During a new game plus, while you're on the planet Tabora, if you go to the menu, and choose to go to a different planet, the game will take you out of the level, and will have Ratchet say something, and you'll be stuck in an infinitely glitched loading ship cutscene. This carries over even if you reload the file due to it auto-saving during ship sequences, and you'll be stuck, because you didn't have a ship at the time you crash in Tabora. Darksiders - Sometimes War can get stuck in the floor in The Hollows. If you load the area after the puzzle where you have to punch the large object to platforms to cross (indicated by the auto-save icon, and looks like a cave portion), then turn around really quickly while still facing the camera, sometimes you'll be warped inside the floor and you can't get out when panning the camera. I also did this in one of the pipes, and warped inside a water area with normal ground physics... No idea how that happened, but it was pretty freaking funny. I fell through the world and into the void... That's also another glitch, is falling through the map, which forces you to restart the game. I actually fell through the elevator while it was going up in the Black Stone (fuck that dungeon) once, and couldn't proceed back up because the SWITCH WAS ON THE ELEVATOR... Thankfully, resetting fixes it as well. That's about it for what I discovered on my own. : ) There is a way to perma-break Darksiders, but I never did it personally.

I used to be unable to read until I was 5, then hentai comics were discovered. I'm a pretty good reader now, but I used to play kingdom hearts and pokemon blue in the day, it actually really helped me learn to read. My older sister says the first words I ever read was "tackle" but I read it a bit wrong, obviously.

The PS2 version of the Family Guy game had one: if you were killed at the ice cream truck (right after the "Dueling Farts" scene), when you resumed the game from the save, the number of kills you need to continue is more than the number you can get, so you cannot advance - and since the game has only one save slot (and an autosave at that), you have to start the game over from the beginning, and try not to get in a position where the game can end at the ice cream truck.

No mention of the Falador Massacre in Runescape? There was a bug when player-owned housing was first implemented, that could allow people to be kicked out of thier houses with the ability to attack other players. Other players that could not fight back. Cue people being butchered en masse in Falador (A nearby city), losing everything they were carrying. It was fixed in a matter of hours but people still lost a lot of things.

I got one! (I know SSB4 came out after this video was made tho.) If you play on classic mode, and you're against Little Mac, sometimes if he KO punches you, then your game will freeze, and if you shut your 3DS down, the music still plays for the stage, and it takes a while to shut down, then you have to start all over. But, it isn't as bad as most of these. I'm not sure if you guys ever have had this, but I have.

Corrupt saves are the worst. I once had a save on Silent Hill: Homecoming right before you have to fight a boss to get through a gate, well, when I loaded my save the boss didn't spawn so there was no way to open the gate. So I had to start the game over. I didn't care though, because the game's shit anyway.

I know I’m late, but in the original version of Spyro: Year of the Dragon, there were plenty of glitches that could make it impossible to 100%. One was in Spooky Swamp, where if you killed an enemy above toxic waters and did not have Sparx to retrieve its drop, the gem would fall and be irretrievable. Another instance is in the Speedway, if you exit the level before earning both eggs there is no way to get the second egg without cheating. The Super Bonus level was not accessible to many players also!!! But glitches like that are my favorite.

The Mad Dogg suicide glitch IS caused by cheating, specifically cheats that affect pedestrians as their code gets overwritten when you use it, but DELETED when you deactivate it, completely removing Mad Dogg's scripts and making him act like a normal pedestrian in that cut scene.

Ah yes I forgot about that Twilight Princess one. It happened to me and that one really sucks as it’s pretty close to the end of the game. Another one that happened to me is in Sphinx and the Curse Mummy. There is a door that gets permanently shut if you save in a certain area that completely halts all progress. One more is in Conduit 2 I fell down a hole as a checkpoint was saving and basically it meant constantly falling dying and checkpoint reloading so more falling and dying. Only autosaves in that game so I had to restart

Soul Calibur III has a bad glitch where if you delete data on the memory card the save data is on, the SC3 data will become corrupted meaning you have to delete it and start all over again -_- I fell victim to it twice. God it pissed me off

Usually the data that's corrupted is your Chronicles of The Sword data and if you haven't completed it by the time you fall victim to the glitch, you're screwed. I heard that Namco fixed it in the Greatest Hits re-release but I don't have it.

There’s another one in earlier copies of Skyrim. In the quest “House of Horrors”, you go into a house in Markarth with a guard. Once in the house you go into the basement where suddenly things get thrown around and you hear the voice of one of the daedric princes. The guard then either dies or you have to kill him. The glitch is where you can’t get out of the house due to needing a key that you aren’t given or can’t find. You then either need to go to a previous save or start a whole new save.
