From talking to Chuck, the anti magic was to stop people from bringing ashen dawn back, as well as stop Dweghom like you said

Disperse is definitely not the afterthought on the FGD, back when he could only take one it would be that over bastion. NA meta is still running a large amount of shooting/gunlines and the block just doesn’t take ranged damage

Yeah, our Dweg love to pewpew guns and spells, Disperse is why we don't use Mimetic to babysit a block.

What do City States need in order to be able to contend with the other factions for positions on tournament leaderboards? Not sure that Chariots will be the answer.
@RattlerNxt3 ай бұрын
Same. Seeing the Cs groups talking about large numbers of chariots being unbeatable. Which is good for sales.
@zacnewman71403 ай бұрын
The CS chat on PB's discord is pretty dismissive of Chariot spam being viable. It's a good unit, and you'll see three of them in a lot of lists, but they're not winning games by themselves. The reason you're seeing so many Chariot spam lists is that CS is a "techy" army that you need to be pretty good to make work at all, and Chariots put a floor under that for newer/less skilled players.

is there a battle report?

Hot Take: Instead of making Ashen Dawn a little weaker, make the Crimson Tower stronger and differentiate their rules such that they fill slightly different niches. (one more focused on psychological damage vs. physical, maybe make one a fast glacier unit and the other glass cannon, etc) Right now it feels like the Ashen dawn just out competes the Crimson Tower
@theGreenKnightXXVI3 ай бұрын
I like making Crimson Tower and Ashen Dawn more distinct. Leaning Crimson Tower into psychological damage is a good idea, make them more the shock cavalry while the Ashen Dawn are melee cavalry. Would it be possible to also tweak up the Impact and Brutal Impact of Crimson Tower?
@jamessmall78503 ай бұрын
@@theGreenKnightXXVI It's an old game design trick, if two units compete for the same niche then make a new niche for one of them. Qualitative differences in units will always be more interesting than quantitative differences.

Nah still nerf Ashen Dawn lol.
@jamessmall78503 ай бұрын
@@wdietsche7258 lol, maybe a little. Still, I'd rather see the Crimson and Ashen knights differ in their niches
@wdietsche72583 ай бұрын
@@jamessmall7850 I'm down with differentiating em if it means AD still gets nerfed. It's not just about inner 100K balance, those big blocks are outright obnoxious for other factions to play into.

I dont want them to weaken the Ashen Dawn more. It will make them not worth it. They are already at the border of being too expensive vs their usefulness. Like this is our Siege Behemoth our Fallen Divinity, Tontorr, and Giants and the constant nerfs to them just feels bad. Look at what those units have for abilities vs their points and now look at Ashen Dawn...Perhaps they can limit the amount of Ashen Dawn you can take per list but another nerf feels wrong.
